Arrival Story:
A shelter pup, she yapped until we spoke to her, and she put her little paw in our hands... that was it, we were in love! 9 weeks old and brought in as a stray, she came home and proceeded to chew everything in sight - hence the name, she was a walking calamity! The first casualty was the flower tops of my onions. Another notable feat - she pulled the carpet strands out of the backing in a perfect 2 inch circle in the center of the room.

Bio:
CJ loves water! We had recently purchased a new house and the sprinkler system was old and leaked. One evening we came home and my hub went to bring CJ in (she was about a year old at this time). He took one look in the back yard, closed the door and said, "YOU go get her." uh oh... I opened the door and looked out just in time to see this beautiful brown dog leaping through a spray of water and mud. Did I say brown? Wait, CJ is - was - white. The leaky sprinkler had a four foot puddle and the entire system had been stuck in the on position for at least 3 hours. To top it off, CJ had so much fun she decided digging in mud would be tops! When I finally stopped laughing I had to spray her off with a hose just to bring her inside for a bath. Needless to say, fixing the sprinkler system moved to the top of the honey-do list, but CJ had a great time! She is almost 10 now, has dysplasia, had TPLO surgery and is missing several teeth, but she is still the sweetest, friendliest (and most deceitful) dog you can imagine. She is very devious - don't let the goofy face fool you! She once hid a bag of jerky she 'found' in a visitors suitcase. It was missing for 3 days - we couldn't find it. We came home after taking them to the airport, and the empty bag was in the middle of the guest room. She has a lively curiousity and likes to nudge things to see what will happen, often knocking things over (but only once, tho she will nudge them again and again). We lost CJ to cancer in 2011. We miss you, sweet girl!

My sister Annie really got me good yesterday. Here I was, just about to grab that tennis ball, and Annie charged down the hill and body-blocked me! I went rolling downhill in a cloud of dust! Wow! That Annie is such a bully. She's always pushing me around. Can't we all just get along?

I got yelled at again for pushing things around. I can't help it - I like to shove things to see what will happen! Sometimes things fall down - that's fun cuz mom and dad get real excited.
