All I know is this: BEFORE the tree I could hang out all day in the front room. AFTER (and during) the tree I have been banned from that room.
Now, I don’t know why that tree didn’t like me – but his influence rubbed off on mommy and daddy. Yeah, the tree was a lot bigger than me and a lot brighter than me and had magical powers to give gifts. On two occasions the tree dropped shiny glass balls on me. I wasn’t hurt – but I do not practice violence and expect all guests in the house to follow that credo.
I must tell you that I was happy when the tree left, and, coincidently, it is still lying abandoned by the side of the road. (I make sure to pee on it every day!)
On the flip side – I got a new fluffy bed to sleep in at night and (since I’m not allowed in the front room anymore), I have made mommy and daddy’s couch my new hangout. If I sit on the top of it I can see out to the street!!!
Did anyone else have an unwelcome tree during this present-giving/cookie-baking time?

Well, we moved again. This time to a nice house with a big window in the front. I just lie there all day and look outside. I bark at the other doggies that walk by, and even some of the kids. Mommy keeps putting things on the floor in front of the window and then looks at my nails. I am not sure what she is upset about…it isn’t my fault that I enjoy stretching out in front of the window and occasionally scratching my nails on the floor.
Anyway, mommy has been very talkative lately. Daddy just stares at her when she talks, which is almost non-stop. She told me that I had to learn to walk down an..oh, what was that word, island, no…aile, oh..anyway, I have to carry something around my neck that is very special to mommy and daddy. She also told me that they were going to go away for awhile and that I would be staying with grandma…a honeymoon. I didn’t know that bees lived in outer space.
Ok, back to the window…I am sure I have missed a bunch of action…especially from the dog across the street…he likes to sit on him mom’s car! Daddy would be Very mad if I did that! Hehehehe

I don’t know where Mommy & Daddy went, but when they left, this other man and lady showed up to take care of me. The man was funny and he liked to take me on walks. He walked a lot faster than daddy does…like running. We would go on long walks and look at all the people. The lady isn’t as nice as the man was…but I think deep down she liked me.
She has a car that doesn’t have a top…I hope she didn’t lose it. Anyway, I assumed that since it didn’t have a top to keep me out…it meant for me to come in. So, I kept jumping into her car…even though she didn’t take me for a ride, it still was fun. She would laugh and say…“Oh, Marley!!!!”
Once the man and lady came over and we sat outside all night. He fed me some really yummy meat….high quality…and rubbed my ears….ahhhh……it was nice.
Mommy and Daddy did come home, and I did miss them…but I sure did enjoy the attention from the man and lady.
