Seriously, what an embarrassment my new big-little brother is. So I take him to day care with me, well ok, momma forced me to. And then talk about not giving any space, all he wanted to do was follow me around, well I told him I wanted to play with my friends and he can make his own. Eventually he did, maybe he is growing up or something. Well I thought that until the knucklehead got his body stuck in the fence. Boys! Well today I decided to throw him a bone (only figuratively speaking, I would never actually give him my bone) and I played with him for a little. I like a good play in the morning, what can I say, I’m a morning gal. But I had to tell him when play was over. I don’t know what kind of puppy food momma is giving him, but he has too much energy. Like tonight when I took him along to the dog park. Would you believe he tried to out run me. Ha! well he doesn’t know what a little speed demon I can be. I of course decided to chill then later, but he wouldn’t stop running. Maybe at least he won’t pester me so much tonight at home. Wishful thinking….

ah ha!

Jake and I decided we couldn’t take it anymore…we had to find out what was up. I, of course, as the brains of the operation, and Jake as the brawn decided to work together. I came up with a very clever plan of sneaking into and claiming the so-called off-limit toys and treats....this involved great skill and risk for Jake (I’m more worried about his use of skill than any risk he may have to bare :o) ) Well the plan worked - mostly. Jake and I were able to break into the closet and investigate the toys/treats. As we knew mama was approaching I slowly removed my self from the situation and Jake was caught red pawed! He didn’t get into too much trouble but these ‘special toys’ (why he went for the toys and not the treats I’ll never know..darn squeakers - they are a weakness for him!!) were taken from him and he was given something ‘Jake approved' - as mama always puts it.

Well, we didn’t have to wait much longer to figure it out - or at least guess. Mama brought home a goober! This goofy looking black dog about my size and weight that reminds me of someone but I can’t put a paw on it just yet. I’m hoping he isn’t staying for good, but we’ll see. Jake on the other hand is tickled golden!

I have come to the conclusion that the ‘special treats and toys’ are an appeasement for me. I’m not even certain that I’ll accept such bribery! I have yet to get them and I caught the ‘goober’ with one of them in his mouth today. I’m hoping he isn’t some kind of mutant dog that posses both brains and brawn!

We're getting a brother, We're getting a brother....

Ok, so mama keeps singing this song to us…we don’t really know what to think of it. Apparently the lady from the shelter just called and someone or somefur will be transported (we are thinking like star trek) on Saturday.

Jake will probably be fine, as long as there is food in it for him he will survive whatever this ‘transport’ can bring. I on the other hand tend to be more skeptical….. I will keep you all updated.

p.s. I notice quite a few extras around the house (beds, toys, treats, etc.)…and mama got our crates out…hmmm are we traveling? I shall investigate…I’ll start with the squeaky toys..
