Leave a bone for Taz (forever in my heart)

Nicknames: His Highness, Big Guy, Tazman, fuzzbutt, handsome, Buppy

Quick Bio:
 Birthday: June 3rd 1993
Likes: running on the beach (have Mom tell you about the fighter jet I almost caught), cheese, sun bathing, going for hikes, cheese, riding in the car, having someone hold a rawhide for me to chew, cheese, training humans

Pet-Peeves: humans that don't share, baths, nail trimming, teeth brushing, flies (I hide in the closet), significant others who don't realize their place in the bed (hint - who's been here longer?)

Favorite Toy: his human

Favorite Food: cheese, ice cream (2 licks for you, 4 licks for me), 'kitty rocca' (UGH!), did I mention cheese?

Favorite Walk: down by the river

Best Tricks: convincing humans he's underfed, neglected and unloved (at which point they surrender all their food to him)

Arrival Story: I saw my first shiba at an AKC booth at a home & garden show. I couldn't have dogs then so I wrote the name on the back of the AKC brochure and threw it in my drawer. Many years and moves later when I could get a dog I dug through my drawer and it was still there. In no time at all I was proudly owned by a Shiba.

Bio: Best moment: It's early Saturday morning and we're staying at my father's (who has always hated animals). I'm still in bed and I hear from the kitchen - "NO! You can not have my bacon." "NOOO, I said you can not have my bacon" - long pause and just as I'm getting ready to go rescue my baby I hear, "I'll make you your own, but you're not getting mine". After that they were buddies. My father passed away soon afterwards and that will always be my favorite memory of him.
Second best moment: Realizing he was off-leash and outdoors during his first agility meet. He managed to visit the CGC testing and the confirmation ring without making anyone break their commands. (Thankfully they were all very understanding.. whew! LOL) Oh, and he also did most of the agility course - in his own order and fashion - but never crossed the finish line. His classmates laughed about that for weeks.
