My BIRTHDAY!!!!

Today I am FIVE years old!!!! I am getting to be almost middle aged, but Mom says I will probably live to be AT LEAST 15, so that is only 1/3 of my life so far!
Mom forgot to tell Susie it was gonna be my birthday so I bet she forgot to get me a present! Maybe she will get me one tomorrow!
As you can see by my NEW photo, I went off to work with her again yesterday. I had a great day once again... that is a NICE place to visit cuz all the people there love me, (and, I can share their lunches, BOL)
For my birthday Mom gave me a special supper... it had a WHOLE can of cat food in it!! I gobbled it right up so fast that no one else even smelled it!
Mom says for my birthday I can go in the canoe with her and her labrador friend, Alfie's former Mom, tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait, I do not believe I have EVER been in the canoe.
Thanks for all your visits and all your gifts!!! I am enjoying them very much.

I did go camping!!!!

We had sooo much fun on our camping trip!!! Mom took HUNDREDS of photos and so did the girls. The weather was perfect, and the sleeping was perfect, too.
Well, sort of perfect. I went to bed with Julia and Giselle, and when it was dark much later Susie came down so I ran out and hopped in her sleeping bag with her!!
Saturday we all went canoeing and/or kayaking. I got to go with Julia, it was very, very fun, except I did get a little wet. I think they must have splashed me or something cuz I did not fall in...Georgie did, but not me!!
Mom said I was a good camper... I was quiet and calm and well behaved. And, I was soo quiet the second night that the girls thought I slept with them ALL night and I really went back to the house with Susie and slept in her bed, BOL!!! They must have thought Tanner was me, I guess.
Sunday after camping MOm had to go to work so the girls brought me and Tanner and Crystal and Toto over there and played dress up with us some more. We ALL got nail polish, even Toto, BOL!!! His is white and on his black nails it even looks like glow in the dark!!
And, Julia said I could go to her house and spend the night with her. Mom told her I was very, very quiet, unlike Crystal, hehehe!! I hope she doesn't invite me when I am at Susie's Halloween party!!! I wouldn't be able to go then, cuz Susie asked me first.
Gee, I must be very pupular!!!

Camping???

Mom said I might possibly be going camping this weekend! I would enjoy that, I have NEVER been camping before in my whole life!
It seems that somehow, someway, she ended up with Friday AND Saturday off, like, completely off!!! She was going camping with Nina and Louie, but hasn't heard from them yet, so her back up plan is to take Julia and Giselle and ME and Cryssie and some of the others and camp out in the lab pen.
Mom said that was lots of fun last time they did that. She said it is MUCH easier and that way she doesn't have to move all the other house dogs over to the kennel so they will have someone to take care of them.
I hope I can go, either with Louie and Nina OR with the girls. I am sure Toto and Beanie will also be going, too.
AND, tomorrow I get to go to work with Susie for the WHOLE DAY!! She has to work inside the office so I can stay in there with her.
She also said I can go to the halloween party in October...she and Mom are trying to decide on a costume for me! I will wear a poodle skirt (so will Susie, BOL), during the daytime but I need something SCARY for the nighttime party!!!!
Anyone got any ideas????

kayaking again...

Today I went kayaking with Julia. I was supposed to go with her Mom but our usual pond had a washed out road so we had to go to a busy lake. Mom was worried that Crystal might be to wiggly for Julia since she had never been kayaking before and Cryssie has only been once and I am calm and quiet so I got elected to go with her.
It was a pretty nice trip, all in all. It was nicer after Julia figured out how to make the kayak go where she wanted it to, BOL! And, when that happened, she finally relaxed a little and didn't hang on to me quite so tight. I guess she thought I might fall in?????
Anyway, we had fun although this lake was big and noisy and there were houses all around it with dogs that barked at us and people that waved to us and big boats that make HUGE waves. After Julia got comfortable with paddling the kayak she LOVED the waves and we had to go over them all instead of turning with them like Mom does. I was getting a bit seasick, BOL!
I would rather go to the quiet little pond where no motor boats are allowed, but... I guess it was better than NO place to go!
Now I am resting cuz I got pretty tired from that long, long ride to get to the lake.

Dressing up is fun to do, well, usually!

Today I got to go to work and play with Sarah's daughter, Julia. Julia likes me because I am quiet and well behaved. Well, we I got there and I saw the bag of costumes, I was all excited. I assumed I would be wearing all the frilly, feminine dresses, but no... Julia gave me the bumble bee costume AND the silly red lobster costume.
Toto got to wear the pink dress...what does that say about him, BOL!!!
At any rate, I did enjoy the attention and I must say, Julia is nice and she did manage to put Crystal down long enough to hold me!
And, I heard them talking about kayaking tomorrow...seems I am invited to go with Julia's Mom... of course Cryssie is going with Julia. Oh well, going is the important part, I guess. Georgie is staying home, BOL!

Mom gave me ANOTHER trim today...

Now that school has started again it is much quieter at work so today Mom came home and got me and brought me over there. I was still in bed, hehehe! When she got up this morning I wasn't ready to get up yet so I hid under the pillow. Must have fooled her since she left me in there, BOL!
Anyway, after I got to work she did put me outside in the daycare yard with Piper and his brother who was here for daycare. I let them sniff me a bit, then I growled them away, silly puppies!!!
After my outing, Mom shaved my face and my feet and Tonya gave me a bath. I looked so beautiful and pretty that I had to strut around the store for a bit so everyone would see me.
Then, when Mom went home for lunch she brought Georgie back with her and also gave her a nice trim and Tonya bathed her, too. Amazing, we were both pretty on the same day. We went in daycare and spent the afternoon admiring each other in an expen in there. Actually, some people visited and they were admiring us, too.
I can say that Georgie is pretty since she is my daughter so her being pretty reflects on me, too, I guess. Anyway, I wish Susie was here so she could have seen how pretty I was, but she is at her real home cuz today was her day off from her work down here.
Notice I said how pretty I WAS? When we went down to the lab pen tonight I found some really smelly raccoon poop so I rolled and rolled in it, BOL!!!

My work day...

Sure enough, I did go to work with Susie this morning. Unfortunately, we were a little late getting started since the alarm didn't go off because Susie forgot the power was off yesterday afternoon, BOL!
Oh well, I went outside while she was was showering and we both hopped in the car and waited to have breakfast until we got to work.
There were a bunch of detours from bridges being out and flooded roads so we were even later for work. Too bad, but no one complained once they saw I was with Susie. They all love me at Susie's work!!!
It was a great day at work again. Mom said it was pretty obvious that I had plenty to eat since I was wearing some of it in my ear, BOL! Oops. Hmm, I bet it was the ice cream, or maybe the sandwich, or, the pizza, gee, I don't know!!!
When I got home I napped with Susie for a while, then she went off to her real home and I went out with the other dogs. For some reason I wasn't very hungry when Mom fed us tonight, BOL!

Off to work again

Wow. Susie said I can go to work with her tomorrow. It has been ages since I went with her.
I was so worried that the hurricane would mean I couldn't go but since the hurricane fizzled out over us and just left a ton of rain I can now go. Work is fun cuz I get to sit around and look pretty all day, something I do really well, I might add, and everyone there lets me help them eat their lunch.
Well, i gotta go to bed now so I will be well rested. Not that I am tired...me and Susie spent almost all day in bed reading, Bol!!!

Diary Pick!!!!

Today I was a diary pick. Mom said it was fortunate that yesterday the diary entry features came back so I can write this now!
First of all, thanks to everyone for your visits and nice gifts. I try to acknowledge them, but Mom is a little slow on letting me use the puter!!
For my special day I got to go to work for a full groom. Now that Tonya is back from California, Mom is happy cuz she is the best bather in the whole wide world!!! Mom trimmed me up and made me pretty and now I am strutting my stuff!
I can't wait until Susie gets home and sees how beautiful I am looking. She will be so surprised!
Well, I gotta go and strut around some more. Thanks again for all your gifts!!!

I am very busy!

This week has turned out to be a busy one for me, so far.
Sunday I worked on my tan because we were down in the lab pen lots and lots.
Of course, Monday is my work day with Susie, so that took all day. Once again, I had a great time there and also got lots of nice treats, BOL. Please don't tell anyone else...they will want to go, too!
Yesterday was quiet, but Mom discovered I am apparently in heat again. I don't look in heat, but I do think I am in heat so I am working hard to get those boys to breed me, BOL! Mom said since I don't really LOOK like I am in heat and the boys are all neutered, I could still go out with them.
That's what Mom said, as she put me out, hehehe! In about 4 minutes flat, she was at the door calling me back inside. Apparently, as part of my enticing the boys, and the boys trying to convince me to select them, we are barking a bit too much! Now, how else are we supposed to communicate??? I tried the turning my head away from Barney and it didn't work too well. So, then I tried barking and we had a great deal of fun, BOL!!!
Too much fun, according to Mom. She came out and got me and put me right into my crate. At least since Riley is already in the kennel I won't have to go back over there!!!
And, the best news...since I really don't have any bleeding or discharge I can still sleep in Susie's bed every night. Mom says that's fine cuz no boy dogs sleep in there.
But, last night Susie was on her night off and she went to her home so I had to sleep in my crate. That was so not fair... I think that Toto and Beanie and Harvey should have slept in their crates and I could have slept with Mom instead!!!
