Where or where did the week go????

Gee, it seems like this was an awfully short week! The only thing notable was that I got a Summer trim and a nice bath. Otherwise, it was the same ole, same ole. We did go down to the lab yard a few times, but it was either too cold or too hot. There must be a middle ground somewhere. That new Barney is pretty nice, well, I guess he is cuz he doesn't bother me at all. I was afraid he would be chasing me around all the time cuz he came from a house with all those toy poodles. Nope, he's pretty good. So far he is sleeping in his crate. Mom says he's not too well housebroken yet so he doesn't get overnights in the bed, only naps.
I can go down in the yard with him and Harvey and Beanie and Bubbles, but Toto can't go with us anymore. He gets too excited then he chases us and jumps on us. Tonight he got all excited and tried to bite Barney. Poor Barney, the only thing he did wrong was be in the wrong place at the right time. Mom made Toto go spend some "think" time in his crate. Dunno if that works, but I can tell you, I have NEVER had to go spend "think" time in my crate!! I am perfect!
Now Mom thinks I may have more than one puppy. I am keeping her guessing, but she will know in three weeks cuz that is when I am due. She does know it will be a white one, hehehe!!!

Cresteds 5, poodles 5....

Wow, I went over to the kennel for the weekend and when I got back home there were THREE extra Cresteds here. Mom better be careful, they are going to out number us poodles pretty soon!!! She says they are not all staying, but I have heard that before! Oh well, as long as they don't eat my food and sleep in my bed I can co-exist with them, I guess. I didn't get to go down in the lab yard with them today, but I guess that is okay, they probably would have knocked me down and I am with child, after all! Mom says I probably only have one again... this is all I want to have, two could be too much work for me!
Well, I gotta go to bed now, sleeping in the kennel isn't so hot... in fact, it was pretty cold over there last night. I guess Tonya didn't know how to turn on the furnace and it was way hot when Mom left on Thursday. I hope it gets hot again, soon!!!
OMD... Beanie just said he saw Barney and Condi taking a nap in MOM'S BED this afternoon. I guess Harvey showed them where it was. I hope they didn't muss my pillows!!!

Extra food for me????

Hmmm, Mom decided I was skinny last night. I am not sure why she decided that, I swear that I weigh the same as I always did, but I am not complaining. Well, after my visit with Denny, Mom has decided I may also be pregnant as well, so she has decided to fatten me up. What a great idea that is!!! Mom got some dehydrated Stella & Chewey's patties by mistake... they sent the wrong kind, and she was going to send them back. Well, she decided to let me try one. She adds warm water to it, and it's just like real meat!!! Mmmmm, good. So, now in addition to my regular meals I get two patties every morning and two patties every night. This is a really good plan, and I am happily eating it all right up!
Of course, all this extra eating makes me have to go outside more often. Did you guys know it snowed up here last night and almost all day today??? There was a lot of it, but then it rained and washed it almost all away. Meanwhile, it made our pen really, really muddy so I am having to do my poops on the porch floor. Ya see, I am white and I sure wouldn't want to get my white feet all black from the mud! Mom says that is not true... she says I LOVE to play in the mud, but I am too lazy to jump down off the porch. Not true, not true at all!!!

Rain vs. Snow

Did you know that rain is wetter than snow? It's true I can attest to that. Today Mom took us down in the lab pen. I would have preferred going to the big yard, but Mom said it was even wetter down there. Yeah, but the grass is shorter!!! Wow, listen to me complaining about how long the grass is, and it's not even Summer yet! Anyway, we got down there on the path so it wasn't too wet. I watched those other dogs run, and the water was like a shower splashing off their feet and legs as they ran. I took a few tentative steps... I was soaked to the skin. By the time I made one circle of the field I was completely wet all over, even my head! If that had been snow it would have fallen right off my legs and feet without getting them wet. Only Beanie has the snow stick to him in big, giant snowballs!
Soo, of course we come back into the house, soaking wet. Crystal was even muddy and wet. Do you suppose Mom let us go into the warm waterbed to dry off? NOPE, she plunked us all down in our crates for a nap. She did let Harvey go in the waterbed for a nap with her... guess he wasn't covered in water, hehehe!

Home at last........

This morning the handler guy brought me up to the dog show and left me with the handler girl. I was stuck in a crate, and she even put a towel over the front so no one could see me. I couldn't figure out why until Mom came along. She took me out and put Georgie in the crate. We walked around to do a little shopping, but Mom quickly brought me back to the crate and took Georgie shopping instead. I heard her tell the handler girl that she was getting too much attention because of my still green hair... she thinks SHE'S getting too much attention???? She oughta be ME!!! Oh well, I LIKE my green hair! And, Mom even bought me a new collar and leash and it matches my green hair perfectly!
On the way home Mom stopped at a Petco so me and Crystal could go inside. We got to ride in the shopping cart! Mom said she wasn't embarassed to be seen with me in the Petco... it's not the same as at a dog show!
Finally, we got home and me and Mom and Skye took Toto and Harvey and Beanie down to the big yard. Mom had gotten some new baby goldfish, so they put them into the pond. Man, after a whole 10 days away from home, I was sooo glad to get back and run and run and run! The sun was warm, the grass was fresh and green and the mosquitoes weren't out yet. A good ending to a nice visit with Denny!!

Well, the handler guy told me that Mom is going to a dog show this weekend cuz she is bringing Georgie down to see the handler girl. Since the handler guy knows the handler girl and they live pretty close to each other, he is going to bring me over to her house and then she can take me to the show so I can come home THIS weekend instead of having to wait another whole week until Mom comes down to get Barney.
I sure hope Skye will come along cuz she will walk me around the show. I KNOW Mom won't cuz she will be too embarassed since my hair is still a little green. She is silly like that!
Well, gotta go watch TV for a while before I go to bed. I have to sleep in my crate down here... doesn't seem too fair to me!!!!!!!!

I am SOOO left out!!!

Gee, all I read about in all my families diaries is how much fun they are having. I am stuck down here at the handler's house visiting Denny, who is Tyson's dad. I guess those guys at home forgot that I can read and that the handler guy has a computer?
I am certainly hoping that they saved some of those bright colored Easter Eggs for me! I really don't care about the eggs as much as I care about the hotdogs and hamburger inside them... all I got was dog food down here... no Easter eggs at all!!!!
And, the worse part is that I heard the handler guy telling Mom that I might as well stay down here until she has to come and get Barney next weekend. Yup, that is NEXT weekend, the 17th, not this weekend coming up. Geee, I don't even get to sit outside in the sun down here. Grrrr. They had better not go out in MY kayak before I get home!!!

Garden work???

I suspect me and Beanie and Toto will be helping Mom do some garden work today. It was supposed to be cold and rainy but I guess the weatherman forgot to tell the weather that!! It's not bright sun, but, after a long winter any sun will do for me!
I hope Mom makes sure that Toto doesn't push us around too much down there... maybe she will take him later with Pinki or with Alfie... they both could use some pushing!!!
Last night I was having a hard time with those three puppies... they kept coming over to bug me everytime I got settled down on the dog bed. I was having to growl and snarl at them. Did they listen??? Nope, of course not, they are babies!!!
Fnally Harvey figured out that if he slept near me, as in touching me, they wouldn't bother him as much, either. He has a sore leg and it hurts him when they jostle him while he's on a soft bed. Weird, cuz he will sure do the jostling when we are outside!!!
Well, gotta go now!!!

My St. Patty's day doo....

I sure wish I knew who was the one that told Mom she could dye our hair with Kool-aid. Since I am the only white one that isn't growing a show coat I get to be the guinea pig! Well, actually, Beanie was the first guinea pig, but they used orange on him... orange Koolaid on a red poodle...they must not have been too brave. Problem was, Mom didn't know how to do it, so poor Beanie had to have three different applications of it before Mom finally figured out that it works best if you mix it with creme rinse. And, guess what? Orange doesn't really show up on his red hair. Suddenly Skye decided since I was white and I was just sitting there...
Soo, you would think that she would have it all figured out when it came time for me, right??? WRONG!!! She did my topknot and ears. Well, she wrapped me up in a big towel so the stuff would only stay on my ears... pretty smart, Mom. Too bad you forgot about having to rinse me!!! Of course, all the creme rinse and Koolaid ran down my nose and ran down my shoulders. Soo, now I have a greenish nose and greenish shoulders, too. But, I'm no where near as green as Mom's and Skye's hand are!!!! That Koolaid apparently dyes skin much better than it does hair!!!!!
Would you believe Skye wanted to put peroxide all over Toto so she could make him blue? Mom told her he was already blue enough!!!

Spring is springing up....

I forgot to mention... when Beanie and I were down in the big yard on Sunday we spied some flowers growing already. They are snowdrops, and Mom says they are her favorite flowers. When she was a kid she would dig in the snow and find them blossoming way down under the snow. We didn't have to dig the snow to find these... they were right on the edge of the melting line.
And, I don't remember if I mentioned or not... we saw the goldfish swimming in their pond. The water was pretty muddy cuz the whole back yard flooded, including their pond, so there was lots of dirt in their water from the garden. Oh well, the pond will be more natural with real dirt in it. I bet Mom will drain it and clean it this year, though.
Mom took me over to work yesterday and gave me a new haircut... well, actually she only gave me a trim and did my face and my feet. She says I have the heaviest coat... it gets "clumpy" when it starts to get dirty. Now I am not clumpy, I am just fluffy. I don't care as long as I smell pretty, and there is no hair covering up my eyes. Then, she tried out her new camera with me as the subject. Dunno how she could go wrong with me... I am very photogenic!!! I sure taught Tyson/Winston how to be photogenic, but I am having trouble with Georgie... she doesn't quite have it. Mom has to hunt her down to get her photos, unlike me and Winston... we just magically appear when we hear the camera turn on. Georgie is too much of a tomboy, I guess!!!
