Mom is slipping....

Yesterday Georgie won her first dog show and she dictated a diary about it to Mom. Well, silly Mom put it on MY page!!! Later I was checking my page and saw this whole bit about me winning at a show. I'm like wow, a show? I am home with my babies! I pointed that out to Mom so she changed it and gave it back to Georgie. I am proud of my little girl... she is very pretty but she is also very smart and we can't wait until she comes back here and can be a "real" dog again. Hopefully she will finish her championship quickly and not have to have the fuu fuu hair cut like I did. She was older than Tyson when she started though, cuz Mom cut some of her important show hair off when she was younger.
Meanwhile, my babies are great!! Now they can see and they can walk so I have to pay more attention to them. But, they are also older now so I can leave them longer and go outside with Toto and Beanie and Harvey. I miss sleeping in Mom's bed...but, I guess it won't be too much longer. Babies grow up sooo fast and since there are two of them I won't have to babysit for so long as I did with Georgie.
Well, better go now, they are fussing at me!

2 weeks old and counting....

Well, Tanner and Taylor are two weeks old today. Mom says they are continuing to do great and they even opened their eyes yesterday!!! She says that is right on schedule. She is extremely happy that Tanner's previous infected eye is fine and there are no signs that it even had a problem.
I am happy cuz when they are happy they are quiet and quiet babies are good babies! Pinki's babies are NOT quiet... they are so loud that Mom even started feeding them, thinking they must be hungry. Nope, they are just loud. I guess they like to hear themselves???
Man, it is pouring rain here and thundering like crazy. Poor Beanie tried to alert us, but Mom is still at work and didn't even hear him. I laughed!!!!
Uh oh, gotta go, here comes Mom now!!

Puppy names....

Wow, Mom finally decided to name my babies!!! She named the girl Taylor and the boy is Tanner. She said she hoped it wasn't bad luck to use the name Taylor again, but she really likes that name and this is the first Taylor's sister. She said they look wonderful... pudgy and active and, yes, CUTE! She is not naming Pinki's pups cuz she is going to co-own the girl and she will be living with another breeder who will get to name her. The boys will be leaving and their new owners will be naming them.
Right now, both Tanner and Taylor will be staying here with us. They will stay here unless they get some disqualifying show fault, or are just plain not show quality. Mom says they look really good right now but it is still really early to tell. She said she almost sold Georgie a million times before she was six months old, and now she loves her! And, she did sell Tyson, but he was a Champion first! She said for a male to stay as a stud dog he has to be super and Tyson was nice, but not super. Maybe Tanner will be super???????

Puppies are FAT!!

Well, finally my babies are FAT and sassy! It's interesting that they really started doing good on the day they were supposed to be born! Mom says they definitely were slow cuz they were soo early. It will be interesting to see if their eyes open up when they should or if they will wait until they are older. I bet they wait!
Pinki and I are getting pretty bored with this motherhood business. At least now Mom is letting us go outside for longer periods of time. Pinki got her groom but I haven't gotten mine yet. Hopefully I will get it this week cuz I am getting pretty shaggy.
Mom moved Pinki and her puppies out into the kitchen cuz she said Pinki was driving her crazy when she was trying to sleep at night. I bet she won't move mine anywhere cuz we LOVE being right here in the living room where we can see everything that's happening. Pinki loves being in the kitchen... she says Mom drops lots of food when she's cooking! Oh well, I am getting all I want to eat already. Both Pinki and I are getting lots of that nice, raw Stella & Chewey's food...mmmmmm good!

One week old tonight.....

Well, Mom says it's been a pretty LONG week, but, tonight the babies are soft and warm and roly poly like they should be. Whew... we were both getting pretty worried about them! Finally, she is very relaxed and so am I! Even the little boy's eye is looking normal tonight. Mom tried to feed them some of the formula tonight but they took one little taste and spit it right back out! Mom says it's amazing how they drink it right down when they can't get enough of my milk, but when they have plenty of mine they won't touch the fake stuff!
Mom wants to thank everyone for their well wishes in the past several days, and especially thanks to Zaidie for the meatz... that must be what made my milk come down for my babies!!! And, she put a new photo on showing what they SHOULD look like at one week old!! Now, barring any other problems, we can both relax a bit!

What a difference a day makes.....

Well, this morning the babies are MUCH better!!! In fact, Mom wanted to take the little boy back to the vets for his eye so she took both of them and they did their tails, too. The vet couldn't believe they were the same babies!!! Of course, I am taking credit for that cuz now my milk is in. Mom was forgetting they were a whole week early!!
The vet opened the corner of his eye and now it is drained out and looks better. She gave Mom some ointment, but they think that is probably for looks since it doesn't go in the eye cuz the hole is too small AND I will just lick it all off. The vet said he would be fine and lots of babies get eyes like that and are okay.
Well, gotta go make sure they are fine now cuz they smell like the hospital!!!

Babies aren't good...

This morning my babies didn't look good at all. They are both way too skinny, even though Mom has been giving them formula all day and night, but today they were all dehydrated, too.
This morning they were supposed to have their tails and dewclaws done and Mom canceled it cuz they looked soo bad. Then, Mom discovered the baby boy's eye is all swollen up so she ran next door to the vets with him. They were so worried about how skinny and dehydrated he was that they didn't even worry about his eye. They gave Mom some fluid to stick them with and as an afterthought, said to put warm compresses on his eye. Well, Mom gave them both the fluid twice and then they felt better so they were taking more formula. FINALLY, this afternoon, I have lots and lots of milk so tonight the babies wouldn't even drink Mom's formula. Mom says she hopes this is it and they will be fine now, but she is seriously wondering WHY she had to love TOY poodles. Pinki's little last puppy was all skinny and dehydrated but he plumped right back up when Mom gave him some formula. My babies have been drinking her formula for 5 of their 6 days already!
Oh well, we will see how they are in the morning. Right now they are sleeping, quietly. Last night they were fussing and crying so I guess that is better already??? Mom said she will bring the baby boy back to the vets in the morning and have his eye checked out again, assuming they are still improving. She also said they would not be named for at least a few more days!

Baby update...

Well, my kids are now 4 days old. Mom says they look pretty good, but are still skinny. She is feeding them some formula so they can get fatter. She says in another day I will have more milk and then they will get really fat, but meanwhile, they are doing good! Mom wouldn't let me write anything about them before cuz she said remember, Taylor! Taylor was Tysons sister and she was really skinny, too, and then she died. Mom is hoping that four days is good and they both will be fine. I am hoping so, too. I HATE to only have one little baby and Elliot's little brother was born about a month ago so he is tooo big to come down like Elliot did. The little girl is a little darker colored than the male, but Mom says they both will be white. She thinks the little girl will look like Georgie (same color) and the little boy will end up all white like Tyson/Winston. They are full brother and sister to Winston and half brother and sister to Georgie. Of course, right now Mom says she is keeping both of them!!!!

My babies came EARLY!!!!!!

OMD... Mom was getting stuff out for her yard sale, Skye kept telling her I was acting funny, but Mom said it was cuz Skye was playing with Pinki's babies and getting me excited. Well, then I jumped in the dog bed and started scratching around and Mom said, Skye, you are RIGHT! Fortunately, Mom had fixed my room already, so off I went and they watched and Mom helped and now I have a baby girl and a baby boy! Mom says they are a whole week early, but they are big and fat, so I think MOm might have made a mistake with her dates!!!!!
Mom said she would put photos on in the morning cuz now she and Skye have to go to bed!

Where or where did the week go????

Gee, it seems like this was an awfully short week! The only thing notable was that I got a Summer trim and a nice bath. Otherwise, it was the same ole, same ole. We did go down to the lab yard a few times, but it was either too cold or too hot. There must be a middle ground somewhere. That new Barney is pretty nice, well, I guess he is cuz he doesn't bother me at all. I was afraid he would be chasing me around all the time cuz he came from a house with all those toy poodles. Nope, he's pretty good. So far he is sleeping in his crate. Mom says he's not too well housebroken yet so he doesn't get overnights in the bed, only naps.
I can go down in the yard with him and Harvey and Beanie and Bubbles, but Toto can't go with us anymore. He gets too excited then he chases us and jumps on us. Tonight he got all excited and tried to bite Barney. Poor Barney, the only thing he did wrong was be in the wrong place at the right time. Mom made Toto go spend some "think" time in his crate. Dunno if that works, but I can tell you, I have NEVER had to go spend "think" time in my crate!! I am perfect!
Now Mom thinks I may have more than one puppy. I am keeping her guessing, but she will know in three weeks cuz that is when I am due. She does know it will be a white one, hehehe!!!
