My costume, but... what AM I???

Mom got me a brand new, store bought Howlaween costume this morning. Only one problem... I am not sure exactly what I am supposed to be??? Mom thought it was a witches costume, but when she put it on me she wasn't sure. It is almost like a pheasant costume I guess. I personally NEVER saw a witch with pink stripes all over their hat and dress. And, there are laces all down the back of my dress that don't show in the photo. Oh well, I think I like it cuz it fits me PERFECTLY, and unlike last year, I am not expecting any babies this Howlaween so it won't be too small by then. Besides, it's BRAND NEW, STORE BOUGHT!!! I expected I would get a hand-me-down cuz I remember I got a new one last year, too. Not complaining, you understand!!!
I did notice that daughter Georgie is wearing the old bumblebee costume. Fits her fine, too. Silly Mom put MY photo on her page AND on my page. Fortunately, she noticed it before Georgie did cuz trust me, Georgie would have pitched a fit!
Well, gotta go back in my crate now. Mom says I am bugging the boys. I think I might be in heat, but I am not totally sure so I have to keep testing their reaction... so far Harvey and Beanie both think I am, but...what do they know, they are both neutered!!!

A great birthday!!

Gee, once my Mom finally remembered that TODAY was my birthday, it was pretty nice. She said it's not all her fault cuz before she always got an email from HQ wishing me a happy day AND giving me some bonz. No email today, boo hoo.
Anyway, she already had Georgie at work so she came home and got me, too. We played lots and took lots of breaks AND, Mom had some bully sticks hidden away over there and she gave me one!!! Mmmmmmmmmmm. Plus, Julie had a BLT for lunch and that place always uses too much bacon so I got lots of that, too. I did share that will my sweet daughter, Georgie!
I would like to thank you for all the wonderful gifts, especially those two mates, hehehe. They are kinda cute!!! And, as mentioned before, all the meatz were very, very good!!! Too bad I couldn't have more birthdays in one year!!!

MY Birthday... bring on the MEATZ!!!!

Wow, my Mom is confused today! She did not even remember that it was MY birthday!!!! For some reason she was convinced it was on the 19th. But, when I got a cupcake and some other gifts this morning Mom finally discovered why! Duh!!!!
Anyhow, I am now at work and enjoying MY day!!!!

Finally, a diary entry for ME....

Mom spent a whole lot of this weekend reading our old diaries. She also spent a whole lot of the weekend laughing and remembering the silly things we did!!
Anyway, when she was reading mine she realized I haven't written one in AGES! Soo, here it is.
My babies are all growed up. (Well, not all but enough so they forgot me!) Unlike Georgie and Tyson, they are not such good house dogs because they have each other and therefore, they didn't get as much time staying out in the house with us big dogs. Mom is trying to remedy that by taking them to daycare lots. but she cannot let four babies under 3 months old run hog wild thru the house every night after work... she LIKES her house and her rugs and her table legs and besides, she is TIRED after working all day. And, we are all older now so we like to lie around in our dog bed each evening instead of play with them.
It IS nice to have Georgie home again but she has forgotten she was my baby and she is now merely my friend. That's fine, as long as we stay friends, I guess. But, I do have to show her my teeth about once every night cuz she insists on getting right up on Mom's shoulder when we all hop in the warm waterbed. She obviously doesn't remember that is MY spot and MY spot only!!!
Speaking of Mom, right now I am mad at her. This afternoon she put me out with Fonzi, the schipperke. Well, he is bigger than me and he is a perpetual puppy so he was chasing me around in the dog yard. It was really dusty out there and he kept jumping on me and now my beautiful white coat is all gray and dusty. I am mad at Mom cuz now she says she doesn't want all that dust in HER waterbed tonight. HRUMPH!!!!

Skye is back!!!

I sure am glad Skye is back from California now. In fact, right now I am waiting for her to come spend the night with me. Toto thinks she is coming to visit him but she really loves me the best! Besides, we have only been out in the kayak only ONCE since she went away. We were supposed to go tonight but it got really windy and looked like it was gonna rain. Oh well, maybe tomorrow night? She is staying for TWO nights this time.
Skye even lets me sleep in her bed with her. I sleep all close to her chin and Toto sleeps down at her feet so he doesn't get mad at me for taking his friend. I can't wait for her to see how big my babies are now... she will be sooo surprised. And, she won't believe how big Louie is, either and, come to think of it, she hasn't seen Lola yet, either. Ohhh, gotta go, she's here!!!!!!

My first canoe trip...

Today Mom invited me to go along with her and Alphie's former Mom on a canoe trip. It was pretty darn hot, but Mom assured me that it would be cooler on the pond.
Well, I am here to tell you...cool is relative!!! I tried to sit under the seats in the shade of Mom's friend, but they kept moving the canoe and the sun would come and get me.
It was a pretty nice trip, though. We saw some HUGE frogs, biggest frogs I ever saw in my whole life. I swear, one of them weighed more than Taylor does!!! And, while we were in the shade, it was nice and breezy, so it was okay.
Fortunately for Mom, two men came along and offered to put the canoe back on the car when we were done. Judging by the hot, tired look of Mom, we would still be up there trying to get it on if they hadn't. Soo, me and Beanie entertained their wives while they were doing that. I swear, those women would have taken us right home with them in a heartbeat!
On the way home we got some ice cream... mmmmmm, good!
Ooops, we had to come back and mention that Mom took the babies outside this morning and got some more photos of them. Hard to believe, they are now five and a half weeks old!!! Mom said I could sleep in the bedroom tonight, how cool is that!!! Whew, I thought this day would never come!

Big changes here...

My babies have been getting out of the box lots lately so tonight Mom turned the box around and let them come out into the whole pen with me. Well, she did that right as she fed me my great Stella & Chewey's raw hamburger!!! Would you believe both Tanner and Taylor jumped RIGHT in the middle of MY dinner and started chowing down!! Mom said that was pretty early for eating, but they seem pretty mature to me!
And, the best part was that Mom and Skye took me and Toto and Beanie kayaking AGAIN tonight!!! I got to go with Skye, and we had fun. There were huge waves when we started out, but Mom said when the sun started going down the wind would stop and sure enough, it did. And, then we saw some beavers again. Mom was taking their photos and one slapped his tail and Mom got a perfect photo of it all curled up in the air!!! But, it gets even more exciting cuz suddenly Mom spied a LOON on our little kayaking pond. She said she has been there for over ten years and NEVER seen a loon there. We also got some neat photos of him, too. It was very fun! And, on the way home we even got some ice cream. What a perfect day!!!

Finally, Kayaking!!!!

Yes, just when it was getting really late and starting to sprinkle, Mom's friend called and said she was ready to go kayaking with us. Whew... I thought we weren't gonna make it!
It was very pretty at the pond, all still and calm. And, the sprinkles even stopped! It might have been better if Mom had checked to make sure the paddles were in the car. They weren't, so we had to use one of the canoe paddles. It worked, except it kept dripping water on our heads and Mom did clunk Beanie several times, a couple of the times it was pretty hard! Good thing he's got a hard head!!!
We went way to the back of the pond and discovered the beavers were out playing. We very quietly paddled close to them so Mom could take some photos. Suddenly, one of them spied us and slapped his tail really hard! It scared me, but Beanie barked at him!
Anyway, then we paddled back to the car and came home. I was pretty tired, and my babies were pretty mad that I had left them. They were so mad that they both climbed way up and got out of their box!!! Mom had to turn it around so they can't get out anymore. Now I have to jump higher to get in to feed them. Oh well, I can do it!

Ahh, Sunday again...

I LOVE Sundays, especially when Mom is home and just hanging out with us. It's really nice now cuz I am pretty ready to give my babies more time away from me and if Mom isn't home I have to stay in that pen beside them. When Mom is here I get to hang out with all my house buds and the babies can stay by themselves. In fact, Mom had to go down to the lab pen to fix some of the fence and she let me and Toto and Beanie and Harvey go with her. That was pretty fun, and we even found some great black raspberries down there. Mom ate most of them, but she did give some of them to us.
Now I just heard her talking on the phone... it seems she is going kayaking later. I will bet you she might take me! My babies will be fine for an hour or so, and Mom said they weren't going until later and it wouldn't be for a long time so I can go and leave my babies for a while. Cool!
Well, now I gotta nap with the boys so I will be rested for the trip!
Ohhh, I forgot, Mom took some photos of my babies cuz she took them outside for some fresh air. I guess they had fun, I don't know cuz I stayed inside. She put their photos on MY page!!!

Dogster Diary Pick of the Day, Whoopi!!!

Hey, Mom tells me I am one of the diary picks of the day today! Bout time she mentioned it, I wonder what she was holding out for???? Anyway, I am honored and privilaged to be chosen for this great honor.
AND.... the best part of all, your visits allowed me to reach 3000 visitors today, which is one of Mom's numbers that we get treats for... mmmmmmmm, this bully stick is the best one of all, cuz only I got one and the others have to watch me eat it!!!
