For quite a while now I have had a breathing problem. It started with some sneezing way back when Susie was here, and has gotten worse and worse. I am not sick, I play and run and eat and all that stuff, but every single night when I go to bed I can't breathe and I have to sneeze and cough and try to catch my breath,
Well, last week Mom called the vets and they said to try some antibiotics that Mom already had. Didn't work AT ALL, in fact, Mom thought I was even worse. Last night was really bad and I had to sleep with my head higher than the rest of my body.
So, this morning, Mom took me next door to the vets. They kept me there and Mom went back to work. They listened to my heart and poked my throat and made me cough and took my blood and other stuff, including took my temperature you know where! Finally, they even took a bunch of xrays of my heart and my chest.
The vet called Mom and she said for some reason, my heart is too big, but not too bad. She said it appears that I have fluid in my lungs, as in pneumonia, and have an irritated trachea AND bronchitis. So, they gave Mom three different kinds of pills to give me and I have to go back in three weeks, or sooner if I don't get better.
Now I am back here at work waiting for Mom to get done so we can go home. I did get to go on break with her and Tonya, and now I am sleeping in an expen, waiting and waiting.
Hopefully, tonight those pills will work and I can sleep MUCH better!
