This morning I went to church with Mom and some of the others for the blessing of the animals. When we got there lots of young people met us, including Mom's neighbor Giselle and Sarah with her daughter Julia. Toto's Morgan was also there with her Mom and Dad.
It turned out that I was chosen to be Giselle's partner for the day. We had a great time, and the blessing was also very nice. The pastor was very kind and calm and we all liked him lots. He even had a little talk with everyone about how to provide for our companion animals. He came around before the service and talked with us all and he even remembered each one of our names when it was time for the blessing!
Mom said it was a win/win all the way around. She said she was sooo proud to see us all interacting so happily with the girls and with the other animals and the other people there. Even Beanie forgot to be scared, for some reason!
And, of course the girls won because they got the responsibility of being responsible for us and they were also forced to socialize with the elders of the church because of the interest in us.
And, it goes without saying that us dogs won... we had a wonderful excursion, met lots of new people and had a chance to show off our good behavior and manners.
I hope they will invite us to come back next year, too. It was FUN!
