It's too hot!!!!!!! All I want to do is lie on the basement cold floor. Am dreaming of the snowfall in February . I rolled around in it. Played like a puppy in it. Was king of the neighborhood in it.

So Laurel mentions to me the other day that she thinks maybe one day we can compete in obedience! I am really not too sure about this. I am nervous in new places and around lots of people. I wonder if this is possible????

Went to the Botanical Garden last night for the SPCA sponsored "Fidos after Five." Saw Blaze, Heinz, Zeus, Precious, and met a new Rottie puppy named Liesl -she was my favorite! After about an hour of parading around and meeting many new dogs, I'd had enough. I always let Laurel know when it's time to leave by acting like a jerk, mostly to Zeus. I snap at him when he gets in my face, although an hour earlier I am all kisses. I can't handle large doses of social time. One hour is plenty and then I need my alone time.

I did really well in my intermediate class last night! Laurel said she was very proud of me. I was nervous as always and didn't do very well with my stays, but the teacher could tell I was nervous. I know I will get better in class once I get used to all the new dogs and people, it just takes me awhile to warm up to new situations. However, I did get lots of compliments on how handsome I was and how gentle I was when taking treats. I was happy to see Blaze and Zeus again!

Happy Independence Day! Had play group today with Lulu the Rottie, Jessie the Golden Retriever, and Pungo the God knows what! I am the only boy in the group which is the way I like it! Looking forward to starting Intermediate obedience Monday night with Laurel. She has been slacking off on the constant socialization that I need to be a balanced and happy sheppie so we are back on the wagon starting Monday. Can't wait!
