Favorite Walk:
Canelo is new to rescue but he seems to really love Crest Canyon in Del Mar. He has also been to Del Mar Dog Beach (loved it) and San Elijo Lagoon.

Arrival Story:
Canelo was turned in to a shelter in San Diego because his owners could not handle him. The shelter slated him for euthanasia because they couldn't either! Labrador Rescuers (www.labrescuers.org) took him in and took him to training. He is now in foster care and working on his house manners. He's a "busy" dog who loves to play with toys and jumps on people when he first greets them. However he settles down very nicely and he's very interested in playing with people and other dogs. This is a GREAT dog. He went swimming at Dog Beach with his foster brother (see photo) and he walks off leash with his foster family.
