Arrival Story:
I rescued Gracie from Lee County Animal Shelter in Florida. I had to wake her up! She is the best girl ever - fully trained, fun personality, and full of LOVE! I don't know who could give her up but she is now my blessing. Lots of love (and many vet bills later) she is a healthy girl at her right weight and with a shiny, healthy coat of fur.

My BFF is my friend Peaches. I also love my cousins Rocky and Beethoven. Neo and I have a different relationship - it's a work in progress.

My friend Sweeney

Craig's List

My friend Sweeney, a little red chihuahua, has had 3 owners in the past 2 months. The 2nd owner advertised him on Craig's List. A couple picked him and deserted him a week later. Luckily my mom found him and brought him home until she could find his owner. She's fed him and he is a good play buddy! But mom's house is too small to keep him. She convinced the original owner to surrender Sweeney to the Humane Society. We'll be sad to see him go but hopefully he can now find his forever home - just like I did! Please spread the word about rescue groups and that placing your pet on Craig's List (or E-Bay) is an awful idea. These people cannot adopt from rescues or shelters usually because they are bad pet parents. Most importantly, wish Sweeney good luck! We will miss him.
