no snow yet

Well the fridge is full, the car is gassed up, the snow shovel is within reach, but there's no snow yet!

Its quite frosty white and crunchy out there with a 1 deg. temp, so I dont know...maybe tonight.

This means mom has to go to her yoga class this morning--she gets mixed up and calls it yogurt class! She isn't so sure about this yoga stuff but she goes anyway--cause she knows she needs the exercise.

Mom is dressed in layers this morning, how is she gonna do the stretches with all those clothes on - and she says the place she goes doesnt turn up the heat much, so she won't be wanting to take any sweaters off. Heck I can exercise her by increasing her daily walks, but she got it into her head she should try yogurt - er yoga, in addition to the walks. Ok , whatever!!

mom has turned pale

So its a chilly evening here and mom happened to turn to the weather channel on TV--next thing I know she's looking quite pale - something to do apparently with the threat of possible snow flurries.

Mom does not do snow, it makes her quake in her boots and rush about buying extra food, gassing up the car and dragging out snow shovels!

me? I'm just gonna relax and let the rest of the world go by..

Yay for squirrelling squirrels

Found an unexpected windfall in the yard today !!

I was checking the yard with Dixie, who is always on the lookout for extra food, when all of a sudden what did we spy - peanuts socked away in an indent in the lawn!! musta been put there over night by the neighborhood squirrels, can't think how else they got there.

We might have gotten away with it too if I had chewed more discreetly, but I was enjoying those peanuts so much that when mom saw my mouth moving she came right over to investigate what I had. Right then and there we were busted!! mom picked up the stash and tossed it (sigh), maybe Mr Squirrel will bring more tonight. You can bet we'll be checking tomorrow !
