Arrival Story:
My hubby picked out Lucy as a surprise for me... Oh! she was SUCH a surprise, but the love of my life! Lucy as a puppy was such a handful... but still always wanted to get a 2nd dog for Lucy to play with. I figured at the very worst... I would just have double trouble! :-)

Bio:
We adopted Holly, our Rat Terrier from a rescue in July 2004. She was 14 weeks old, and such a good puppy! About 2 months after we adopted Holly... Lucy (our JRT) suddenly went totally blind from SARD's (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration) so Holly has become Lucy's own "seeing-eye" dog. They are the best of pals, as you can tell from the pictures showing Holly helping Lucy play fetch! Holly is such a joy that we fell head over heals for the Rat Terrier breed.. and now do foster care for Ratbone Rescues (www.ratbonerescues.com ) ... what fun.. everyone should have at least one Rat Terrier!
