Arrival Story: We adopted Maggie in October from JRTRO ( russellrescue.org) She was already 10 years old but we fell in love with her photos and had to have her. I think we were expecting your typical hyper JRT but were surprised to find that we had a very clam and rather lazy girl. She does love to run and play but also loves to cuddle under her blankets in her bed. We are so happy to give her a new life filled with love and cuddles. Bio: Maggie left us on Feb 19, 2010. She was about 12 years old. Even though we only had her a short 2 1/2 years we loved her dearly. Forums Motto: Even senior dogs make great new pets. Happy Gotcha Day my special girl. We didn't forget about you special day yesterday at all. I went down to our special place at the canal and sent you a message. Doug was missing you and started to think about the day we picked you up. He finally told me the secret of what made him laugh so hard we had to stop because he needed to use a restroom. You two sillies were playing with candy teeth and he gave you some and you sat there with them hanging out of your mouth before you ate them. Now I am wondering what else the two of you got into and I never knew. But the mystery of why you would always beg for gummy candies is now solved.
Wow we can't believe it has been two years since you went to the bridge. Last night Doug and I spent some time talking about you and remembering all the silly things that you did. We are still wondering what the heck was in the bucket the day you just had to get what was in it. All we saw was a bit of dirt, but you sure saw something else.
The other day I was driving down the road and I thought I saw you walking with someone. This other pup looked just like you!!! I just had to pull over and say hi to that pup. The owner though I was a bit strange but when I told him about you he understood. He said you sounded like a very sweet girl.
Keep a look out for your balloons in the next few days. It is kind of yucky outside but Doug and I will be sending them to you soon.
Happy Gotcha day my sweet girl. Today would of been the forth year you would of been with us. I remember the weekend we got you. It was so warm for Thanksgiving weekend. We spent most of our time going to the canal and having fun.
I'm sure you are at the Rainbow Bridge having a huge doggie party with all your friends.
