Forums Motto: Happy Girl
It was a BEAUTIFUL day! There was SNOW everywhere, blue skies, sunshine AND so many things to see and sniff. There was a wonderful HUGE branch to chew into pieces, too.
All of a sudden I spotted a black kitty sitting by a neighbor's garage! Oh, BOY!!! I REALLY, REALLY wanted to go and see that kitty!
I barked and barked. The kitty did not move. I have noticed this before when I barked at kitties that they usually stay perfectly still. (I think they have learned that doggies on LEASHES are NOT dangerous.)
I got a little closer. I was still barking.
Hmmph!
My mistake!
This black kitty was a FAKE kitty!
Embarrassing!
I wasted some excellent BIG GIRL BARKS barking at a FAKE KITTY!
I been busy adding my new friends to my OFFICIAL Birthday List and putting those on that got somehow deleted (Uh-oh!) when I had my Ooopsie! last month. I think I am all up to date now!
If you are NOT on my list, please send me a PawMail with your ID# so I can get you on my list right away!
Birthdays are REALLY SPECIAL, and I want to make sure that I don't miss anyone's special day!

Grandma Cheryl came to give me my lunch, and after I ate most of my lunch and had a drink, Grandma said, "Saphira! Want to go for a WALK?"
Well, of COURSE I do, Grandma! I am ALWAYS ready for a WALK!
I decided to do my business right away and get that over with and then we started off around the corner to the HUGE PILE of SNOW. I LOVE to check that out, and I needed to watch some people getting their mail, too.
We started off down the street and around the corner. I sat and waited for the traffic to go by. When all was clear, we started across the street. There's a big park right there with lots of trees and pinecones and sticks and SNOW!
Grandma Cheryl had her big, tall boots on, so I KNEW that we would off-road our walk today. Grandma enjoys walking in snow as much as I do!
We got in the middle of the big field, and Grandma threw snowballs up in the air for me to catch. Very fun!
We did this until Grandma couldn't feel her fingers anymore.
Next we went to check on the lake. Lake Erie is just straight ahead, and we can walk there in about a minute or two. Guess what? Lake Erie is a BIG ICE CUBE!!! The waves aren't waving either. There is no sound from the water at all.
I think Lake Erie is BROKEN.
I smelled a very interesting smell coming from this snowbank. I HAD to go check it out! I put my WHOLE HEAD in the snowbank. Grandma said, "Saphira! Where is your HEAD???"
Now Grandma! You KNOW where my head is! It's IN THE SNOW BANK!!!!
We followed all the animal tracks that we could find. Grandma kept saying ""Those are bunny tracks...Those are squirrel tracks. Oh! There's some doggie tracks."
Uh...Grandma...I KNOW, I KNOW!
(Humans forget that we just KNOW these things. We don't have to TALK ABOUT them!)
I chewed on some nice sticks and watched some birds flying up there REALLY high in the sky. I took a nice rest in a big pile of nice snow. Ahhhhh! I LOVE a cold belly!
On our way back home we followed some more tracks. These were from another human and their doggie.
We took a detour to get back to our place because Grandma didn't want this big doggie who lives on my corner to bark at me. She KNEW that I would bark back at him and that we would have a BARK FEST which would be...annoying.
We got back to our place, and I had some more of my lunch AND a nice cookie treat, too!
