being brushed every morning-she will sit and wait by the combs after breakfast
being told "no more play-settle"
a tennis ball or frisbee
anything she is allowed to eat-shes my food disposal
baseball field-i let her off the leash too, run a few laps and play
jumping in the air to catch her frisbees-our neighbors are amazed at how well she will focus when working w/her jumps and commands
i grew up with an aussie cattle dog so i always knew that if i ever had a child i wanted an "aussie" for them just as i had. we were young and did not realize a rescue was an option so we searched the papers for cattle dogs or sheperds. i was 8 months pregnant, just moved into a small apartment (just long enough to find a house) and we drove about 3 hours to go meet the pups. she was the only one who would not stop trying to untie my shoes. joe would tie them for me and she would come right back and tug on the lace. i told him right there-shes the one. she wont let me alone and shes the only one who is curious enough to venture out of the pack. a few weeks later we went down and picked her up with a stuffed red pig that she happened to use as a body pillow for about a month. while going to school and him doing that and working-we had her trained in 2 weeks. which was good b/c i delivered 2 weeks early. from the START she has been involved with my sons daily routine. she has followed me every where from the time we brought her home and keeps all the kids (both human and furry) inline w/out hurting them a bit-
she is by far the most talkative out of our 3 dogs. she will argue and torment you until she gets her own way. if by chance you dont give in...she will lay there and not only sulk but moan and grown out of disgust. she absolutely adores her baths every 2 wks but yet she positivly wont go swimming...what sense does that make?
she will also run around in the pouring rain to play with her best buddy (lilman) and our nieces and nephews. she is to our son like lassie is to timmy. we go to my brother-in laws or father-in laws and let all 3 dogs run and she just has a blast! playing with the kids, other animals and following everyone around just being nosy.
any animal she may come in contact with does not phase her. she will introduce herself then after that she couls care less. i really do think she wouldnt mind living with a monkey even-as long as that monkey would not steal and hide her toys. chickens, goats, cats-you name it, she dont mind! even little tiny bobble head dogs (my sister in laws toy chihuahua puppy) doesnt phase her-she knows its not a squeek toy even tho it does squeek at times.

i tell ya what! never believe that a human has sense of time. you stick my mom infront of that computer and you lose her...she just zones and unconsciously rubs our neck or paws with her feet and mumbles to herself (supposedly to us but it cant be understood).
and she cant MULTI-TASK! she has been working on all the pictures in the computer. touching them up and cropping-blah blah blah...diddling with email, doing something with face book and 2 games on there with little man and what does she do last night...LOAD MORE PICS INTO THE COMPUTER!!
you have no idea how long she has been working on my slide show pics.NOT putting the slide show together, mind you-but doing funny things to the pics of me that already exsist so she can upload them into a slide show.
i havent a clue how long its been (b/c us dogs are able to read time LET ALONE set a watch) but it feels like a super long time. could someone explain to me how a human thinks...they have the same book out for humans to read about us dogs. i wonder if that same human wrote one about his species...
i'll be intouch..hooopefully showing off my slide show but i cant promise-
