Likes: Throwing herself into any body of water after a stick/ball/frisbee etc.
Pet-Peeves: When you don`t throw the ball/stick/frisbee etc fast enough!, when she can`t find the ball/stick/frisbee, when she does not get to go swimming, when her humans tell her "all done, take a break." which indicates dog, you are killing me.
Favorite Toy: Anything that can be chased. Right now, a new Bad Cuz. Squeakies are high up on the toy chain.
Favorite Food: She is a lab. Any food is labeled favorite! Leftover food in dishes on the floor, at the kennel where I train, are always fair game. She is a bit of a scavenger.
Favorite Walk: Anywhere with the possibility of a swim.
Best Tricks: Well, she has many. Targeting the Easy button(pictured) with a paw and setting it off is pretty funny. She also crawls on cue, and backs up to "beep-beep"cue, taught by shaping with clicker.
Arrival Story: Bridget came to me at 3 months of age, owned by Canine Partners for Life in Cochranville PA, to be raised for this organization with end goal of Bridget becoming a Service Dog. Until she was one and 1/2 years old, we went literally everywhere together, as part of her training. She returned to Canine Partners at this age to advance in her training, where she did wonderfully. Unfortunately, due to onset of seizure activity, she had to be released from the program, and came back home to me. Today, she leads a wonderful life, with her pack Talley, a 3 yo English Lab, and Billie-Bob, and 14 and 1/2 yo Collie X. They are all very close and live extremely well together. Bridget loves to swim, fetch, play with any and every toy, does agility, and is my main demo dog for my business, Look What I Can Do! Dog Training. Look What I Can Do! Dog Training

Emergency: Recently, I horrified my Mom when I played Border Collie, and took off after a flock of sheep. She was really happy when my training kicked in, and I responded to the emergency recall words (meaning wonderful things were about to happen) and I stopped and came flying back. Who needs sheep when there is GREAT STUFF waiting at the other end!
Mom is sad looking at our pages and all the nice messages from all our furriends that we has not responded to. We feel like very bad furriends indeed. We sure loves you all. Mom has some email Easter cards she did not even open yet , that is just awful. Here a wee hint.....trot on over to Behavior and Training forum, Mom seems fixated on wanting us to spend our spare time over there. Well, it is nice and we making some new furriends, but we miss all our old furriends too. We are proud of our Mom, committed to positive dog training. We have been doing some catching up these past few days, Mom not quite so busy at the moment. We been over to Doggy Connection and P*I*F, and visit a few more groups in the morning. Talley has to get about cause she and Winston Harpur are spokesdogs in the Rachel Ray Food Campaign this week. Time to get those last cards in huh? www.dogvice.com
The rescue work is halted temporary cause there was a sick dog and the place is quarantined for maybe another week. We are still working on our Rally Trainng and going for another lesson this Friday. Mom has her eye on a few practice matches in May and a real show in Mid-June. Hooo boy. Guess I better get serious huh? It is fun and I love training because Mom makes it so fun. We goof around alot and have a good time. Mom puts the ball in the middle of the floor and when I do something REALLY good she tells me GO GET IT. that is the most fun of all. Sometimes I work for food treats as well. OK by me!!
Another doggy was hit and killed by a car. We did not know them but we went to their page, so sad. We were very lucky when Talley got hit and escaped injury. Please keep your dogs safe and secure. It only takes a second for a tragedy. I am one to be talking, always looking for a way out of the yard. We are going to get one whole side of new fence because of me and my ways. Mom says I am always looking, always looking. She watches me standing out there, deep in thought, BOL. She has a built in Bridget alarm and if I am out of sight for longer than 15 seconds ding ding ding ding. OMD the last thing Mom could do would be to leave me alone in the yard while she was away. She would be a nervous wreck knowing the trouble I get into. Talley she just stays where she belongs, she likes her food dish BOL.
We still miss our Billiebob, but Mom is much better. It took her a long time to get over being really sad. She thinks she is going to have to take that song off his page. He will be waiting to welcome that poor pup up at the bridge. There was a Sunflower in the family I think I rememer that. Well that is it Mom says. We have class tomorrow night and I will have rally training work to do. I did get to go on errands with Mom today in the pouring rain. What fun!!!
Loves you all, Bridgey
Sigh, Mom had that crazy camera out again, always wanting to pose us for pics. We dont really mind though. Our magnolia tree is in bloom and she has this thing about posing us with flowers. I is sure lots of you know how that goes.
MOM BOUGHT ME A NEW TOY TODAY, in a moment of weakness. I trained real good today she said, and she had to go in the Pet Store anyhow to put up a flier for a class, and the last time we were in there, she was (me too) eyeing these purple Octopus Tuffies toy, with multiple squeakers in it, one in each leg, and that is a lot. I shook it around pretty good. We have been posting on the Behavior and Training Forum a bunch, Mom wonders why we did not go there sooner. As a dog trainer, she is committed to positive training and that is a great place to spread the word and help other dogs out. LOOK WHAT I CAN DO! DOG TRAINING
One nice doggy named Primrose sended me a bluebird for recommending a book to her. That was so sweet.
Mom was feeling bad last night cause it was one month since BB went to the bridge, and she got all weepy looking at his pics and his sweet face. We all miss that ol dog a lot, except for Pop, who tends to move on pretty quick BOL, maybe it is better that way. Our good furriend Cody in DC was real sweet and sent some kind understanding words that Mom appreciated.
Tomorrow I am going to the rescue with Mom to work with Monty , the newest real fearful dog that just came there. They are the ones that really has a hard time getting adopted. Save a life and adopt a dog. Actually, this is a special shelter out in the country on a huge horse farm. The dogs have huge outdoor play yards and indoor/outdoor runs, and everything is kept spotless. They were all rescued from a shelter where they w0uld have been euthanized. Now they has a nice home, nice as it can be, until somebody adopts them. PAWS FOR LIFE CHESAPEAKE CITY MD
Well Mom worked me like a dog today and I am dog tired BOL, can you believe that. Too tired to get in trouble.
When you look at my new main pic, you see it is spring that for sure. Our dear ol furriend Cody is very talented with his pics and makes em for all who ask, and keeps very busy at it. Probly he should has some special recognition. He is very kind to do that. Me and Talley both love our spring flower pics. Mom sure loves her spring flowers so she really loves the pics. THANKS CODEMAN WE LUVS YA PAL.
OMD Mom sure is keeping me tired. Besides having regular yard play time and a walk with Talley to a field in our development, I went to work with Mom and helped her work with a dog, then helped her at her doggy class. Oh, and we did some Rally training too. I think she is going to give me the morning off and take Talley with her in the morning. She looked around tonight when she was watching TV and not a dog to be seen. Both us labbies took ourselves off to bed. That made her sad cause ol BB was always there. Anyways, Mom thinks by May sometime I should be ready to enter my first Rally competition. On Friday we go back to see Miss Ruth and we will get our certificate for completing a Rally Prep Course. I sure love Miss Ruth too. I make her smile. She is sick and Mom worries about her.
Since Mom has been so busy we had furriends making cards for us in the Food Campaign. Millie such a good furriend she done some of BB, and Shooter and his Mom are doing some for us. My typist is half asleep so I know we forgetting somefurs and their MOms OH I KNOW Rickie Roo sent cards in for us. We are still spreading the word about the campaign much as we can www.dogvice.com, still need help so take a peep pups. You can win prizes and see yourselves on the internet and help feed hungry dogs. Rachel Ray is very generous AND Dogster HQ been so kind in advertising the campaign for P*I*F on the main page as well. Thankyou furriends for helping us with the cards.
Mom says tomorrow gonna be a rescue day, she gotta get back over there and see what doggy needs help. 2 of them she worked with Joy and Marley was adopted. Paws For Life Inc, in Cheasapeake City MD is the place. Actually , 2 of the doggies in her class right now is from there, and a third she working with privately. Funny how that works out. Me and Talley was technically adopted back from Canine Partners for Life, after we was released from Service work. And Billiebob, why he was found looking for food at the Acme Grocery Store. And Bunkie was rescued one day before his euthanasia day. Well I better let my typist get to bed. Been having good conversations about positive dog training on I`m A Mutt and Herding Association. Mom is dedicated to that positive work. Why hurt your dog when you dont need to she says. Sounds good to me!!!
