   Leave a bone for Fala

Fala Mawala, Blackie, Fala girl, Dumbbum, Sweetie Pie Munchkin Poo

Quick Bio:

To chew anything I take away from her, and to eat cat food! Oh, she also LOVES to play!

She's care free, she has no pet peeves!

Favorite Toy:
Her stuffed animals she stole from my house, and her tennis balls.

Favorite Food:
Any food! She's a LAB!

Favorite Walk:
Actually, Fala doesn't like walks (will explain later)

Best Tricks:
Doing a "flip" in the air to catch her ball, and to jump up as high as possible when I ask her to. She can sometimes close a door.

Arrival Story:
I picked up Fala from Guide Dogs of America April 12, 2002. She is a female black lab and absolutely adorable. Although she was sweet, she had the worst guide dog temperment ever. After a very rough puppy in training life, Fala went in for formal training and was then dropped four weeks later for being unwilling to work (ever since then, she hates walks). Fala became my legal pet on September 13th, 2003.

Fala is a super pet. She may be rough around the edges, but she is so much fun. Her whole life is revolved around fun, that's all she has all day. I love her so much, because I never see her without this big smile on her cute face!!

Well, despite my warnings about becoming a guide dog, little miss Perfect (cough cough, I mean Vienna!!) is graduating!!!!! She's graduating on May 1st, 2005. Mommy is SOOOOOOO happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I had known graduating would have made her that happy, I might have thought more about becoming a guide dog! But, I think I'm happiest here! I'm proud of Vienna, and Mommy is so happy that she gets to see Vienna and meet her new partner, Laurie, in a week and two days!!

Guide Dog Drop Out,

Mommy has been so excited lately, because it's possible that Vienna might graduate in May! I'm not sure what's so great about graduating. I couldn't STAND training. But, I guess if Vienna likes it, then I should be happy for her. Of course, I just want her to come home so I can play with her! She doesn't understand that I have to put up with Lomax! She's never even met Lomax... lucky girl! Sigh. Being a pet it so much harder than it sounds.

Mommy got me a license today, and a name tag. She said now if I ever run away like a bad girl, someone will find me and call Mommy right away so she can come get her. Well, I don't plan on running away any time soon... unless she keeps letting Lomax out to play! But, she attatched the tags to my collar so now I jingle jingle! Jingle jingle! This is kinda fun!

OK, I need to go show Mommy how I jingle! jingle jingle! What?! Me?! A.D.D?! Never!

Jingle Jingle,

Good day, fellow doggies!!!
Today is a day to CELEBRATE!!! Put on your party hats!!! TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up and Mommy gave me an extra pat and an extra treat. Then she had to go to school so Cookie and I had a party, just for me!! Cookie was very nice to me today! When Mommy came home from school she gave me a hug and then Lomax came out to play, which was his gift to me!! We played for a looong time, and I had fun!!! After that, Mommy took just ME (ME!!! Not Lomax, but ME!!) to All Pet Headquarters to pick out a toy! I didn't find any toys I liked, but I found this one really yummy, juicy bone! Mommy said I could have it so I carried it around while she picked out a toy for Lomax (hey! It's not HIS birthday!). Then, I put my front paws on the counter and gave the cashier my bone and Mommy paid for me. Then we left. We went to Coldstone next, an ice cream place for humans. Mommy made me lay down nicely, but she let me chew my bone!!!! Laying down nicely in public reminded me of my puppy in training days! I was a good girl, though! I had to be good, I'm THREE!! Anyway, after that we just came home and now I'm playing and running around with Cookie and some people. Uncle Matty just came out and said Happy Birthday to me. I am soooo special!!

Wags and barks,
