Arrival Story: Mom found me on the Bichon Fur Kids adoption site. At first, even though Mom and Dad were ready to adopt me, I was sent to another home and I made sure that I was naughty so they brought me back to BFK. Mom got a call from Barbara, the BFK volunteer who had 1st fostered me. She told Mom I am affectionate, sweet and fun. She also said I need alpha parents. No problem. Hmmmm.
I was first rescued from the streets of Mission Viejo in California. I've been tossed from hand to hand many times and it is no wonder I have so many fear issues. I don't like men and boys very much, but Barb and her husband worked with me and trainer Nicole Andrews, and I was very loving with Barb's husband. They even let me sleep in bed with them.
Mom and Barb talked for awhile and Mom told Barb how she is okay with dog training with Haltis and has trainers Keith and Katy at boot camp to help me out with any "issues."
Now Mom and Dad are anxiously awaiting my arrival. Barb told Mom she was sent from heaven for me! I think it is the other way around...I was sent from heaven for Mom and Dad, Cuki, Neksi, Sahara and even Luka who lives with Granmom.
Bio: I lost my emotional, psychological battle and crossed the Bridge. I don't know what happened, but I couldn't be nice and even tried to bite Mom. Oh, they tried everything the could to rehabilitate me to bring me back home. I just couldn't get past my mounting fears and constant state of fear and aggression. Mom and Dad decided the most loving thing they could do was to let me go...they helped me cross the bridge calmly and lovingly with friends all around me. It was one of the best days of my life, to see the world as a place that wasn't scary to me.
Momma, Aunt Dorothy and Auntie Wendy came to see me today. They brought all my favorite toys and treats and even a whole turkey burger just for me. I had three special treats with something that let me relax. Momma told me it was a gift for her to see me with soft eyes and a smile on my face. Even my pigtail tail relaxed and I let Momma brush me and make me the pretty girl I am.
Now I'm at peace. No longer in conflict.
Uncle Lonnie has buried me in his backyard under a big shade tree.
I'm sleeping...at peace, out of conflict...forever calm...
Thank you to my Momma and Daddy who loved me enough to let me go.
Thank you for giving me years that I would not otherwise have.
I will love you all furever...
