Sophie, National Dog of Mystery

Well…mom has led us through a whirlwind of craziness these past year…she almost forgot to update my diary! I think I am the most well travelled dog around…I have spent the last year in Flagstaff, AZ; Banff, Alberta; Thornton, NH; and Portland, Or! Mom couldn't make up her mind on where to live! I hated NH…too cold and wet and too much road salt on my delicate paws. Cape Cod was cool…We loved to play on the beach in the sand! But those waves are loud and scary. Banff was cold and wet…and mom had us share a small RV with TWO OTHER DOGS and another human!! That was hard…but we hiked everyday and had fun.
I really like Portland though…we hike and we get to go to the BEACH! I am getting older though….so I prefer to sleep in the sun in my new living room. Mom says we are staying here for a long time…I hope so…it's great here!

Wooing mom

I have found so many ways to woo my momma!
I found that if I put my ears back and wag my tail so ferociously it sways my entire body I can get whatever I want...
I also found that if I do the Husky Wooo....I can get whatever I want...
I found that if I talk ontop of doing the wooo....I can get whatever I want...
I found that if mom says sit...and I take it one step further and beg on two feet...I can get what I want...
I found that if I blame Deaus for all my chewing...I can get what I want...
hmmm...I think I want a treat...should go find my mom now....

Sofa the Chew Bear

hehe...I am having fun with mom these days :P We keep playing a game. She places things in places that are just beyond my reach and then leaves for the day. But the trick is that I find away to reach these things....
Last week it was her cell phone. She put it all the way to the back of the kitchen counter...too easy...I chewed it up for her and left it by the front door for her to admire!
Then the next day she left my collar on the couch. She must have been rewarding me for the cell phone...so I chewed all the plastic bits off my collar and left the shreds all over the living room floor...I wanted to make sure she saw it!
I was a little confused yesterday though....I couldn't find anything just beyond my reach??? Then I got smart...she wanted to see if I could unlatch the lid to the recycle bin...and I could! and I chewed all the aluminum cans to bits (I have a few cuts in my mouth now)...and when I was done with the cans...I shredded all the cardboard :)
Mom is so proud...she keeps saying she is going to get me a muzzle! I don't know what that is...but it sounds fun!
