Arrival Story:
Heidi was a stray and ended up at the county pound. She has a great temperment so the pound used her as the model for their Safer Testing program. At the end of the program, Heidi was going to be put down. Fortunately, a great lady, Rebecca, who volunteers at the pound and fosters any animal that needs a home went to bathe and walk Heidi one day. The pound worker told her "not to bother", Heidi was going to the freezer tonight!!" Rebecca told them she was coming with her. I adopted her after Rebecca had her 6 months through a fantastic rescue group. Rebecca trained Heidi in kenneling, housetraining, heeling, off, leave-it, and many other great manners. I am sooooo grateful to Rebecca because Heidi is so beautiful and sweet, she is a charmer. My daughter and I have had her a year and we love her so dearly. Hounds are great dogs, but many are put to sleep in KY because no one wants them. I'm glad the there are groups that will help these great dogs.

Bio:
Heidi is a purebred TWC and has a small frame, she is only 20" and about 60 pounds. She has the black on her face which I don't see as much as the brown. She is the only TWC I've seen around my area. She is really a head turner. Most people think she is a beagle/lab mix, haha.
