Deaus, the Country Traveller!

Well…mom has led us through a whirlwind of craziness this past year…she almost forgot to update my diary! I think I am the most well travelled dog around…I have spent the last year in Flagstaff, AZ; Banff, Alberta; Thornton, NH; and Portland, Or! Mom couldn't make up her mind on where to live! I hated NH…too cold and wet and too much road salt on my delicate paws. Cape Cod was cool…We loved to play on the beach in the sand! But those waves are loud and scary. Banff was cold and wet…and mom had us share a small RV with TWO OTHER DOGS (and two SHIBAS at that!) and another human!! That was hard…but we hiked everyday and had fun.
I really like Portland though…we hike and we get to go to the BEACH! I am getting older though….so I prefer to sleep in the sun in my new living room. Mom says we are staying here for a long time…I hope so…it's great here!

Deaus and his undies

I follow a pretty regular schedule in the morning. Wake up, let the
dogs out, fill their bowls while they run outside, call them in, hop
in the shower while they eat, get out, let them out while I get ready,
call them in and then go to work.
This morning was a little different ;) I left the bathroom door open
while showering. When I got out I found Deaus silently pulling my
underwear out from a pile of clothing. I watched him, kinda giggling,
as he rubbed his face and body all over my underwear (here is me
blushing!). Well...Deaus got a little rougher with throwing his body
around and somehow managed to get my underwear attached to his collar!
He started freaking out because he had them stuck to his neck...he
tried to shake them off, tried to bite them off...but no...they were
firmly stuck to his collar! he started to walk towards the living
room and Sophies instinct was to chase after the underwear that were
attached to Deaus's collar...so the dogs started wrestling and getting
worked up...and RAN OUT THE DOOR!!!! It was moring rush hour traffic
and my two dogs are in the yard...one with my underwear stuck to his
collar, the other trying to get at the underwear, and me in my
bathrobe trying to herd them back inside!! I got a few laughing faces
in my direction :(

Cutest Dog in the WORLD!!!

I knew it! I have been trying so hard to inform humans that I AM the CUTEST dog around...I would even go so far as to say the cutest living animal on all four feet!
Mom got a letter today saying I was pick ed unanimously by a panel of judges out of thousands of pet pics as one of the cutest pets on the globe! I will even be in a book...I am also in running for the cover! I knew I was cover model material ;p I also get to be in a calender :D All the babes are gonna want me...but I love only Sophie ;) Mom said if I win she will smother me with goodies...she says she will win $5000 if I win the month of May...and I am only competing with 10 other dogs :P If I win that, I will compete with 11 other dogs for the annual $10,000 award! Woweee...woooofff!!! I gotta go do my hair and nails...gotta look good for my public!
