Ha, Ha Darby, I got a diary, too!

My humans keep disturbing my nap!

Wow! What a year this has been. Mom found a new place to live, so we moved again, in Feb. Oh this place is great! I have a fenced in back yard to play in, my landlord thinks I'm a cool dude and lets me do about anything I want. The chair is mine, the couch (my favorite place to be with my blankie)is mine, and the list goes on.
Been doing a lot of traveling, too. Mom and Dad are staying friends, so we see him and Darby a lot. Been in Dad's big truck one time and went to FL. It was a long day, but fun seeing things I had never seen and spending time with Mom, Dad and Darby.
Went on vacation in July. Visited TN, KY and IL. I like staying in motels. It's cool.
Took a bunch of trips to AL to see Aunt Lore, Uncle Richard and my cousins. There's so many of them, can't remember their names. Just know that 2 are Min. Gray Hounds and I think the rest are Min. Pins. So many girls so little time. UGH!
Spend a lot of time with Darb, so I'm not alone when Mom has to work. I do miss her though, when she's gone.
Well, I guess I need to let Darby use the computer, too. I wish Dad would just give him the lap top, and then I wouldn't have to share. ARF! ARF!

Oh my, it's cold here.

Mom just took me and Darby outside to play and do our business. I don't think it's fair, Darby doesn't get cold, 'cause he has all that fur on him. Me on the other hand likes nice warm weather and sunshine. Today is definitely not one of those days.
Dad and Darb are visiting pretty regular. Good thing! I do so miss them. Mom is working full time now. I'm glad for her, but miss her when she's gone.
Getting ready for a road trip, somewhere. Could be AL, TX, SC, MO or IL. Depends on what the humans decide.
Have to go shopping today and then to "class" with Darby tomorrow. I like going to class with him. Mr. John is a very nice man.

Where do I start?

I was thinking that I had already started a diary, but I guess I didn't.
I was just going to update, but I guess I need to start from the beginning.
Mom and Dad were looking for a playmate for Darby. They weren't having any luck finding someone Darby liked. So one Saturday, they went to the local shelter, and Darby found me. That was Sept. of 2007, and we have been together ever since.
They had named me Cosmo, and I came when they called my name so it stuck. Mom always said I looked like an alien, and Cosmo stood for cosmos. We found out, I was named for the character on Seinfield.
We traveled, we took boat rides, and even played in the kiddy pool Mom bought us.
Then things seemed to fall apart. Mom lost her job, her and Dad broke up and Darby and I couldn't fix the problem.
Dad went on the road as an OTR truck driver and Mom took care of both of us for awhile. Then Dad started taking me with him, which left me alone. Of course I had Mom, but I missed Dad and Darby. That was Sept. 2008
It's been a very long year, but things are looking up. Mom got a new place to live, which is close to where Dad works, so I get to see them more often now. Her landlady loves me, and spoils me rotten - even more so than Mom does.
Mom and Dad seem to be getting along pretty good, too. He even took us for a ride in his big truck, a couple of times.
Mom and I have been staying busy. She took me to meet my human Aunt and my human cousins. That was a long road trip to IL. It was OK, but I was glad to get out of the car.
We have a nice walking trail not too far from where we live, and she will take me down there every once in awhile. I have a big back yard, so I get to run and play every day.
I guess Darby missed me more than I thought. He just won't leave me alone when he is here. He wants to play and I want to sleep. In fact he is sitting here trying to stare me down. I do love him though. He is my best bud.
Well, that's my story for now. My forever home wasn't lost, just re-located.
