So we went to a dogshow in Springfield on Friday. Man was it crazy there! I liked the Italian Spinone, they were friendly, but no too friendly if you know what I mean. Shnauzers on the other hand! So Rude! Especially the little ones. Everytime me and my brothers walked by them they went freakin nuts trying to fet at us. There were so many people. Everyone said they loved me and Jack's ears and they all pet us. Jack was a bit nervous and Willy kept on getting stepped on but I thought it was ok. Though I gotta say I prefer the outside Dane show in the spring (I get to run around in the ring in that one and I always get a pretty rescue ribbon)[hi liz here - rufus is a total attention hog and turns into a toal Diva when he gets in a ring. I know he's lovely but sheesh] Anyhoo, It was a lot of fun. Then Jack's siter Ella spent the weekend, nice to see her, she's a cute kid but it is more relaxing now that she went home. Peace out

So, Sometimes my girl doesn't want to think that I am not so young any more but finally she broke down and got me my old man meds, and now I feel great! We went on 2 long walks in the woods today and I could have kept on going. It turns out Jackson is kindof fun for running with, because, well let's face it, we look GOOD! We went out kindof late and it was totally dark by the time we got out of the woods, then a few steps behind us 2 men came out of the woods. It was a little surprising so I did the old run right at them then veer in a circle around them then back to mom just to let them know who's in charge you know. Better to stop trouble before it starts I always say. Reminds me of a time back when I was had just started living with mom and we used to go for walks in the city after she came home which was ussually very late. One day this guy crawled out from behind a tree and started to walk towards mom. He was definitely a dangerous man and I am not quick to judge that sort of thing. So I was off leash cause we were in a park and I went and stood in front of mom, I didn't growl but I made myself look huge and I was a lot younger then so I was really a muscle man. Mom put her hand on my shoulder and said "wait" (when she tells the story she says how I was so tense I was like vibrating) and the guy looked at me and looked at mom and turned around and walked the other way. About a week later we were at the same park in the daytime with a bunch of other dogs and people and the same guy is walking on the other side of the park so I did the same thing stood in front of mom and watched him. All of a sudden there were 4 cop cars coming from all directions, they surrounded the guy and arrested him. Turns out he had attacked some women in the area - and my mom was almost one of them. I am really sad for the other women and wish I could have helped them too. But I love my mom so much and she isn't always as aware of what's going on as I am so I look out for her. So let this be a lesson to all you young pups out there, Love your people and help them when you can. I am not a guard dog but a clever dog doesn't need to be. We can all tell good from bad.
