Birthday: November 14th 2007 Likes: my family, my TOYS, and anything that I can eat. Pet-Peeves: The wind in my ears, face, body, tail OR anywhere on my body-- it messes up my look! Favorite Toy: My loofa dogs are my favorite, but I show love to all my toys! I have my own toychest and I pull them out everyday! It's fun to watch mom pick them up before bedtime. Favorite Food: ANYTHING. I love food.. I try to sneak and grab whatever mom is eating (which usually doesn't work)! I am currently on the NB venison formula and it is yummy. Favorite Walk: I love our new back patio, so that would probably be my favorite hot spot!. Best Tricks: I can do sit and down. Mom wanted another chihuahua to extend her chi family AND because my sisters are so great, so Dad bought me for her for christmas 07! I was such a tiny girl at only 6 weeks old at the time. Mom was nervous about taking on such a young pup, having read not to take a puppy until 8 weeks of age AFTER I came home. She was actually even told to return me because this related to a backyard breeder. She took the challenge (how could she refuse my face) and thank goodness I had Tippi to show me the ropes. Mom named me after her favorite soap, General Hospital! (Skylar's daughter's name was Lila Rae--although she hasn't been on the show in a while!) I must be something special because I'm the only one w/ 2 names! ) Bio: First off, let's get one thing clear: 1. If I like it, it's mine. 2. If it's in my mouth, it's mine. 3. HELLO: I love to play with every single one of my toys, and run around the house, yard, or anywhere mom lets me ! I LOVE to bark and sometimes I even talk- or so mom says. I love everyone and every dog and I'm yet to meet someone I do not like! I love my chi sisters, especially Tippi. Harley and I love to play fight and I chase her around the couch.
Mom says I think I am a much bigger girl for all of 4 lbs, and that I have such a BIG personality for such a tiny doggie. LR spent the day at the vet getting checked. Her ears and tail are back to being scaly, dry, and losing fur. She isn't itchy or even red and the vet was a little stunned on why this is happening w/o any other symptoms! She had a skin scraping done and everything was normal. The vet is suspecting staph so he put her on a 14 day round of antibiotics and also a specific ear cleanser to cut down on yeast! If nothing has changed in the next 14 days, the vet is suspecting food, flea, and especially pollen allergy (because her eyes are running too).
Blah! I am so frustrated and wish I could find answers! Wish it were that easy. I'm just glad she isn't suffering... and I'm hoping it's ONLY a cosmetic issue : /
Today is my 2nd birthday! So far .. so Good! Dad went off to work but made sure to give me a birthday treat. Mom woke up and gave me my presents which were new toys! Then we are off to Granny's for some lunch and a stroll : )
Mom says that I will soon be 1 years old!!!! She cannot believe how fast time has flown!! I am worried I won't be her baby anymore.. but she says I'm silly ! : )
I wonder what is to come after I turn 1. I am no longer a baby !!! : )
