Our First INSANE College Day On Mom's Birthday, WOW!May 12th 2010 10:10 am[ View A Comments (11) ] Dear diary and friends. Oh my dog, what a day yesterday was.... Mom and I went to the monster school for two long classes in the morning. The first one was ok, the teacher didn't say a thing about me and even met me after class, no touching of course, but she was real nice. Then we went to the next class and boy oh boy what a time that was. We walked into class and in front of everyone that was there the teacher called mom and me to the desk.... He said that we needed a paper for me to be there, mom said that she didn't have one that I am a service dog and I am allowed to be with her wherever she goes. Well, that teacher argued with mom that no, I HAD to have a paper to be there. We really thought he was going to kick us out of class! We finally got to sit down and take the class though and oh my dog does that class sound scary mom says. We went to the office for disabled people for the appointment we were supposed to have and they messed up the dates, it's not until next week. They insisted that I have to have paperwork to be there too. Mom is going to get in touch with the ADA and see if this is right. Anyway, we went back for the night class. Mom and I got a seat to the side, she got all her stuff out, I was in a spot right next to her.... then the teacher handed out papers with his name on it.... It was a different name than was on her schedule.... she thought, oh my gosh, did we go to the wrong room... nope, right room and right building... she looked at her schedule and yup, everything was right except for it was the wrong darn day, oops!! We were supposed to be there Monday and Wednesday not Tuesday and Thursday like she though. She promptly packed up our stuff and we bolted out the door. You should have seen the teacher's face when mom was darting out the door with me in tow!! Haha!! Oh, and did I mention that all this stuff happend on mom's birthday... She got a tough time from a teacher and the disabled person office at the college and then goofed her class for her birthday, yup, we were sure glad when we got home last night! Gotta run and get ready to go to class. Have a pawsome night everyfur! :)
WOW!! Whut a cwazee time!! Habby Bewated Birfday wishes tu yur Mom!! My Momma turnded 130 on Monday! Hur r old!! We hope dat fings ged stwaitended out bery soon :) Why du peepoles an' pwaces make stuffs SO difficult??!!?? Thanks for stopping by Zadie! Mom said thanks for the birthday wishes! We have the last new class in a little while that we missed on Monday and are hoping like mad that the teacher isn't a pooh head like the one yesterday! We have no idea either why some people are such meanies at us, I am always very quiet and stay in my spot just like mom taught me to. Mom also said that I am the cleanest pup around too since I am ALWAYS getting baths because of my allergies. Oh, and I am sure that your mom isn't 130, that would be a world record or something! Have a pawsome day!! :) No, hur weally is, Binx!! I countded!! Gud luck dis day :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!!!!! I am getting seriously concerned about the ability of this college to do anything right..Ok.. you got your days wrong on that one class...not their fault.. so discounting that. BUT......since MONTHS ago they have screwed up your schedules.. forced you to wait months for a class set.. THEIR errors... this has gone on and on. NOW they screw up over SD and seeming so has the Disabled office who SHOULD know better. Sweet Lady.. enough.. time to make someone answerable for all this. PLEASE ......... start banging heads against the wall and firmly request THEY get their act together. This has gone on too long. I would suggest a formal appointment /Interview with the Dean. You have every right to expect manners and service. THEY are happy enough to take your money. HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Oh how I know!! I do believe that I am re-thinking my life path after all of this stuff that we have been put through. I am so boggled by it all. I am going to find out if there is a local chapter of the ADA down here and see what they have to say. I don't know, but maybe I should start planning my future to help other disabled people like me (Binx's mom) that became disabled and lost all hope for a productive life. Had no idea what my future held, still don't but at least I am getting somewhere.... well, trying to anyway! Finally got myself together, trained my wonderful helper to officially help me and that completely changed my life and now have a goal and a future again and what the heck, feel like I am banging my head against the wall sometimes I swear! Going to do something to make a difference is all I know.... Will keep you posted and with any luck the instructor tonight wont be a pooh head like the one yesterday.... sigh.... Dear Lady... You ARE making a difference ............. you have made a wonderful life for you and yours... dont ever forget that. Some never try.. and some cant no matter what.. but you have found a path. Hang in there.. and go slug a few idiots.... I have pins and wax dolls if you need............ HUGSSSSSSSS Oh Pam thank you so much, just get feeling a lot lost sometimes I think and need someone to set me straight you know! By the way, I did argue with the instructor and the disability office a bit. Decided I had best check with the ADA before continuing, especially with the very strict instructor. By the time I am done with this school I will know all the laws and loopholes and oh my dog will I be making sure that anyone like me that needs an extra voice will so get it! Hmmm, maybe I should think of working in the future with the ADA or something.... Maybe that's what I should do with my life instead of typing doctor's notes all day when I am done with school.... Who knows what the future holds, all I know is I am more than sick of being walked on, uh huh!! Hey, Binx's Mom!! I cood come an' bark my head off at sum peeples!! I r gud at du dat!! Bonito and Lois Happy Belated Birthday to your Mummy!! :D Hehe that was sooo funny, my Mum would probally do something like that too BOL Grrr im right with Zadie and will bark my head off at those meanie teachers too! She was in California for her birthday so I really didn't get to celebrate it with her, but I made sure to give her extra kisses when she came home. Sorry your mom had a bad day on her birthday. |
