Likes:
Waifie loves going hiking with us! She enjoys forests the most, especially if she can get a scent of a bunny or a raccoon!

Pet-Peeves:
Waif is especially annoyed if I don't get up when she wakes me in the morning. She is not pleased with her harness!

Favorite Toy:
Her favorite toy is a "Big Mean Kitty" which squeakes. She LOVES squeaky toys!

Favorite Food:
She loves chicken, spaghetti, and ice cream!

Favorite Walk:
Waif loves to hike at Caledon Natural Area and Westmoreland State Park

Best Tricks:
Any challenge in which she can outsmart her people to get what she wants.

Arrival Story:
I went to petsmart to purchase food for my rabbit. I was interested in choosing a lab puppy to adopt. I was with my son, who was one year old at the time. He enjoyed walking around, looking at all the puppies. Waif walked away from the other puppies and watched my son. I felt that she loved him, and that she had chosen us. So I adopted her.

Bio:
She is largely resistant to training, is totally hardheaded, and basically manipulates us to do what she wants. I often tease her for being dopey, but really I think she is a genius in disguise. All joking aside, I could not dream of a better dog for us! She has never, ever, displayed a single ounce of ill temper. She still lets my son take food from her mouth! She doesn't mind taking his either!

Forums Motto:
Waifie Dodo

no sense:
When we adopted Waif we were told she was a beagle mix. I chose her because she seemed to love us so much. Now I understand she acts that way to anyone who might pet her. Treeing Walker Coonhounds have been described in some places as having no road sense. This definitely applies to Waif!
