Arrival Story:
Having dogs my entire life, I decided to take a pet break after saying good-bye to my last little sweetheart who passed away from cancer. Thinking I would wait a few years before looking for another dog, I found myself making a list of the things I loved most about my last little girl. I thought that would give me time to research breeds and to be ready when the moment arised. That list showed me how much I missed having a pet to care for and to be there when I came home each day. Well, I made it to 7 months and when looking on the internet checking out breeds a name I had never heard of popped up. Silken Windhounds. Reading about them and checking my list I knew this was it. I contacted breeders and saw this sweet puppy in a picture. Her description was perfect and the first time I met her she melted into my lap! She continues to pull at my heart strings daily and is a joy to be around. This breed is like potato chips. You can't have just one! I am now owned by 3 wonderful Silkens and the greater family of Silken Windhound owners. Life is perfect.

Bio:
Chanel is a playful, prancy little show off. She is the one that usually gets the gang going. Camp counselor is her job. She has done well in the companion show ring this past year, taking Best Companion Bitch at Boofest 2007 and Best Companion Opposite at our national show, Silkenfest 2008. She has enjoyed straight racing, but would rather chase the boys on the track than the lure in front of her. She is quite a flirt!
