Meet Zeke!

Zeke is big and sweet and drooly and clumsy. He likes to move rugs around the room. He will let you put any outfit on him except booties (he wipes those off his feet as soon as they go on.) He doesn't like showers and will hide in his kennel if you call him when you're in the bathroom. Zeke is big and has a huge bark but he doesn't talk much. But if you're on the other side of the door trying to get it he sounds like the biggest scariest dog in the world. Zeke loves to rub his favorite toy duck all over you after he's slimed it, especially when you're wearing nice clothes. Zeke's mortal enemies are blow-up lawn decorations and any sled/snow dogs who dare come in a size larger than him. Zeke's favorite snack is cheese and peanut butter, he'll even eat them together if they're mushed in his kong. If you're eating either of these items or you're eating anything else at all Zeke will engage in a one-sided staring contest until you've finished it or broken down and offered him some. Zeke likes to chase and bite his tail and left leg sometimes, on occasion when he catches the elusive part he'll whine. Zeke charms the ladies, both human and canine. Zeke is the coolest dog that ever existed, if you've never met him your life is completely lacking.

Zeke just graduated from his basic skills obedience class. If they gave out honors he would have gotten them, he was at the top of his class. The skills he was taught at PAHS (Plainfield Area Humane Society) were reinforced, so he's gotten better at "come", "sit", & "stay" and he's really mastered "shake", he wants to shake everytime he meets someone new! In addition he learned many new important things like "leave it", "down", "red light, green light" and he's working really hard on "heel". We're excited to be enrolling him in the advanced class very soon, we're sure he'll do very well. Our trainer said he's one of the brightest dogs she's ever met (which of course didn't surprise us). We even got a family photo where he's wearing his little cap & tassle. We're proud of our Zekie boy!
