Arrival Story:
Dusty was the first dog to join our household after Chelsea. our golden retriever, died in the early nineties. We brought her home from a store in the mall, which, now that we know that those dogs come from puppy mills, and oftentimes have many health problems, we wouldn't do again. When we learned her history, we found, for example that she had had surgery on a hernia. Her initial circumstances notwithstanding, she has turned out to be a wonderful companion. In fact, it seems like she is the third daughter around here, she is so spoiled- watching TV in her dad's lap and sleeping at his feet at night. We are all lucky to have little 13-inch beagle Duster in our lives.
