Arrival Story:
This puppy was abandoned on the side of the road in a garbage bag. She's old enough to have clawed her way out, and a leash was found inside the bag but no collar. She has a 3 inch swatch around her neck where there is no fur because she was obviously chained with a too-small chain. We think the people who dumped her put her in the bag to give them enough time to drive off so she couldn't follow them. We wish she could talk and tell us where these horrible people live!

Bio:
She is about 9 months old. She just went into heat. I have an appointment to have her spayed, so that will be already done for whoever adopts her. She will also have her first shots soon. She plays well with our dogs and ignores the cats completely, which is fine with them. :) Other than the marks on her neck she appears to be in great physical shape. She's as cute as a button and has a wonderful personality to boot. She loves affection and petting. She let me put my hand inside her mouth to check her teeth and also let me take a toy out of her mouth without protesting. She hates being inside. She's obviously been an outside dog. She will come to the door but not all the way in. *UPDATE* She came in on her own last night. I guess she decided it was kind of nice to be inside during the storm in the afternoon. And there were cookies to be had... She has had no training, but will come when called. She will make a great dog for someone who wants to love and train her. She already does several tricks. She does a high five (actually ten), dances, and jumps really high. She actually jumped up onto the kitchen counter in one quick jump like a cat. Of course she was scolded and hasn't done it since, but it earned her the nickname Ninja. If somebody had the time or inclination to work with her she could do wonderful tricks. We would keep her if we didn't already have 3 dogs!
