Arrival Story:
George was left on the doorstep of my work ( a veterinary clinic) in a cage that was way too small for him. He was left with a note saying his birthday and that he was a Feist. He was only 7 months old. He was so scared he was trying to bite every one. One day, I was standing by the microwave in the hallway and one of my co-workers let George out of his cage to go potty and instead of running out of the door into the fenced area, he ran over to me, sat at my right side and looked up at me with his ears back, and his sad eyes and that was the day that he became mine. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION EVER! HE IS MY BEST FRIEND :)

Bio:
Before I took him home for good, he had to have a few surgeries. He had to have bilateral femoral head osteotomy because he was born with severe hip dysplasia. 1 month after that surgery, he had bilateral luxating patella surgery. A few weeks after his luxating patellas surgery, his left knee had to be operated on again because the tendon was not tight enough. That was almost 5 years ago and he has been going strong since!

Today my mom took me to work with her. I was so excited to go on a car ride with my sister, Shelby. When I got to my mom's work, Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, she put me in a cage with my sister. I was angry because I wanted to say Hi to all my people friends first! Later on, mom came and got me and I got my 3 year rabies vaccine. The doctor kept saying that for the next several months mom has to watch my closely because of my disease. My disease is called Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia. I was diagnosed in Sept 2007, when mom noticed some purple bruising where I fell up the stairs at grandmas and grandpas. I am better now I think, because I am off medications. I think I'll be fine. After my mom's work closed, she let my sister and I run around outside in the fenced area for about an hour so she could finished her work. It was really fun, but then I got really scared because it started thundering so mom brought my sister and I inside and we ran around the clinic. I showed my appreciation by finding tennis balls and putting them in her purse so we could play hall ball when we go home.
