Arrival Story:
On July 5, 2008, we lost our beloved woofer of almost 15 years, Rocky.
Mom looked around at all the dog stuff in the house and couldnt stand it. She went to a local shelter and rescued Sparky!
His former owners were foreclosed on and forced to surrender him.
He is adjusting quite well, except he has no idea what cats are!
He will learn...he will HAVE to learn to love them.

Dear Diary,
i can not believe i havent started a diary until now...
Why just a few days over a year ago i was sad and lonely in my small, confined cage at the shelter. My previous family had to give me up due to foreclosure, but my Mom doesnt believe that. It doesnt matter anyway.
The shelter said i was 4 on that fabulous day, July 6, 2008.
i was just kind of "zoned out" in my cage, staring at the wall in front of me, when an older couple came near...ME? Are you talking to ME?
Yes, Sparky, come out sweetheart...i have some people who want to meet you.
So i came out of my cage and looked onto the womans eyes...thats all it took. That woman is now my mew Mommy and i love her.
Fast foward one year...
Little did i know when i hopped into Mommy car what i was headed for!
i live on a houseboat barge with...wait for it...20 cats!
Over the past year i have learned not to bark at every sound they make...although i do bark a lot, but im just being the watchdog that i am!
So July 6, 2009, we celebrated MY Gotcha Day as my Birthday, 5th, and i got my very own steak!!
Life is good.
