   Leave a bone for Bixler

Nicknames:
Bix, Bixie, Buttcheese, sweetiepie

Quick Bio:
-purebred-pound dog-dog rescue

Likes:
FOOD! He loves people (me the most of course) but he was starving for the first 6 months of his life and therefore food is always #1 in his mind. He also loves to run/swim/jump/wrestle etc. At parks/camping he LOVES to find/eat/roll in anything dead!

Pet-Peeves:
Male dogs with all their parts, other dogs taking his food, pooping in front of an audience...

Favorite Toy:
a squeeky lambs wool animal that someone bought him at the pound and any sort of bones (especially fresh ones!)

Favorite Food:
Anything really - but he gets super excited about the raw meat he gets on top of his regular food. Oh, and he likes cheese and cat poop.

Favorite Walk:
Bull Creek and Pace Bend on Lake Travis. He loves to jump off the cliffs into the water.

Best Tricks:
He can french kiss on command :) and he knows all the basics. He can also drool instantly at the sight of food.

Arrival Story:
I was looking for the perfect jogging/swimming live in companion but was having trouble finding the right one... One day after visiting many shelters I walked into this mobile home animal adoption center and there he was - one of only two dogs they had left. He had at least 20 stiches in his neck from an attack by a yellow lab and his coat was flaky and dull and his ribs were showing but he was still the sweetest dog ever. The staff had fallen in love with him as well and as soon as they showed him to me I knew we belonged together.

Bio:
He had a pretty rough puppyhood so we are still getting over some issues he has with food and other dogs but he loves life and is so smart that we enjoy each other more and more each day.

I'm happy to say that Bixler has been improving rapidly in his relations with other dogs. He is such a great guy and fast learner. His appearance stills worries some of the other doggie moms when we go out, but he proves them wrong within seconds!
