Birthday: September 9th 1999 Likes: BELLY RUBS!! Playing tug with a rope Pet-Peeves: Strangers...they are very distrustful Favorite Toy: Any stuffed sqweeky toy Favorite Food: Hot dogs, cheese Favorite Walk: In my own backyard garden Best Tricks: Looking cute Arrival Story: Jelly was rescued from a puppy broker who considered her "un-sellable merchandise" and kept her crated in a basement. She was fed in the crate and left to use it as a toilet too, never socialized or spoken to. When rescued she was matted, full of fleas and worms including ring worm. Once the vet deemed her clean and free of parasites her rescuer arranged for her to be shipped to me. Interestingly her flight brought her to me on the birthday of my late son. Being know as the "Heavenly breed" I felt this dog would be special. Jelly is our heart dog, she may not be the best behaved or the most accomplished of the dogs but she is the most sought after by our children.
Jelly is the hall monitor and our home security system. Nothing goes unnoticed by her. She patrols the outside perimeters making sure nothing happens without her knowledge. She successfully graduated obedience school just to prove she could do it but after graduation she decided obedience training is knowledge best used only when necessary which for Jelly is not often. If you are holding a tasty tidbit in your hand she has instant recall of all obedience lessons. Should your hands be empty then there's little hope that she will give you the time of day.
