Arrival Story:
We adopted Bucky on July 3, 2008 from Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue in Gridley, CA. He was worth the drive and we are grateful to SBCR for taking good care of Bucky for almost two months. Bucky and his mama Sarah were owner-surrendered. Great news: Sarah has been adopted by someone here in San Jose, so they will be able to see each other!

Our home was so empty once our Buster left us on June 4. We saw Bucky on Petfinder and knew that he was the one for us. Thank you Buster for finding us another sweet loving boxer boy!

Fun to be Dog of the Day Today!

Hi peeps,

Well we were surprised to find out I am Dog of the Day. We haven't been on Dogster much in the last year since they changed the format and we can't find anything even when we put our paws down and DIG DIG DIG!

But it's still nice to be remembered and to get nice messages from nice doggies.

I have a little brother now, and I mean little. Nikko is a Dachshund (mostly) and belonged to my human mom's grandma, who passed away in April. So Nik came to live with us. He's OK but he likes to bite me and that freaks me out. We are trying to teach him how to live at our house.

Have a good summer!

Hey Dogsters,

Tomorrow April 22 is Bucky's 6th birthday, or so we believe from the documents we received when we adopted him. He acts more like he is two years old!

We are so happy Bucky came to live with us. We are looking forward to a visit with his birth mama Sara very soon!

Mother's Day

Yo Dogsters -

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. My mama came over to visit. It is always wonderful to see her. I still remember her and I like to lick her chin. That's probably what I did when I was a young pup and she had food in her mouth. She still let's me get away with it!

Her people brought along another dog, named Lucky. She is a brindle boxer girl like my mama but she is really skinny because she just got out of the shelter last week after being picked up as a stray and being in the shelter for almost two months. No one wanted to adopt her because she is old (maybe 8 or 9 years) but she is really sweet. I tried to get her to play with me but mainly we just relaxed. I hope Lucky finds a good home; I have a feeling my mama's people may decide to keep her!
