Arrival Story:
Everyone knows you can purchase just about anything from Wal-Mart...including dogs. We went up there one Monday night for a few items and saw some puppies for sale. We normally stop and look at the pups or kittens and we always walked away without one. At the time we were renting a 500 sq. ft. duplex and were not allowed pets. The man talked to us a little about the breed and himself and turns out he lived not to far from us! We fell in love with the breed and Tip and guess who came home with us? Who knew that a 6 wk old pup would have more energy than both of us combined! There were times when we weren't sure if we would survive the first 6 months. The other stress factor was he was continually growing like a weed and getting harder to hide! Finally, when he was about 4 months we closed on our house and now he has a big fenced yard to guard from the squirrels.

Bio:
We started Tip in puppy classes around 3 months. We had already started some training with him and mainly wanted to join a class for the socialization. Tip ended up LOVING his trainer and so we went through the Intermediate, Trick, and the Advanced classes that she offered and he got his Canine Good Citizen. Tip loves people and children so hopefully by this time next year he will be enrolled in Therapet classes so he can go visit the nursing homes and hospitals. He is still a little to high strung, so we are going to let him get a little older. We have no children yet so Tip is pretty much the center of our attension. He loves to go everywhere and gets upset when he gets left behind to guard the house. We have truly enjoyed him and the breed of dog. He is a fast learner and a lover. He has never met a stranger and thinks that everyone who comes over came to see him.

This weekend my masters went out of town and guess who didn't get to go?! ME! I could tell they were leaving...they called up my "Uncle Chad" and asked him to house sit and took my sister to the kennel (she likes to escape from the fence). I saw them carrying various items out of the house such as a tent, cooler, and pillows and blankets. Notice they didn't carry out any of my stuff! I knew something was up...they even had the boat hooked up!! Daddy made Mama sit in the driver seat and check the lights on the trailer...I took it upson myself to "load up" in her lap. I was ready to go! That didn't last long...Daddy pulled me out of the truck. My new angle was guilt trip them into taking me and make the cutest faces possible. Daddy wanted to take me and helped me put the guilt trip on Mama. She started weakening and I thought we had her...until I got put in my kennel! So my weekend was a HUGE bummer. I was so mad at them. They KNOW how much I LOVE the boat! Every time I heard a vehicle go by, I begged "Uncle Chad" to let me out and see if they had realized they forgot me...no such luck. Like I said, HUGE BUMMER! Well, they FINALLY decided to come home and I was out in the yard doing my routine checks of the trees, gota keep them free of the squirrels :) They pulled in and Mama stuck her head out the window and started talking to me. I acted like I didn't even know who they were. HA leave me at home! She kept talkin' and I got softer and softer and my tail slowly started wagin'. I didn't want it too, but it did its own thing and before I knew it I was poucin' around waiting for them to come thru the gate. Darn unconditional love.
