Best Tricks:
The amazing ability to chew through any leash if left alone for 90 seconds! He's also now able to balance a treat on his nose ala Jones.
Arrival Story:
Cleaver was adopted from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter when he was about nine months old. He had his basic manners, and just worked hard to figure out how to be a part of our pack -- it was a -great- age to adopt a dog! He's smart, funny, and brought such a great new energy to our house. Jones, the First Dog, still kind of wishes he wasn't here (she's digging a big hole in the back yard to push him into -- "Put the lotion in the basket..."), but she'll adjust. He's the only dog that can stand up to her, and she secretly loves that.
Bio:
Cleaver's a pit bull/black lab mix, though the animal shelter wouldn't put the words "pit bull" on -anything-. He got the best attributes of both breeds, and I was so lucky to find him!
Cleaver believes that gender roles are merely societal constructs, and when Jones gets her toenails painted, he likes to get his done, too. His favorite red is Revlon's More & More Merlot, as it's so striking against his velvety black coat.
Cleaver is an honor student at the Santa Fe Dog Obedience Club. (Really!)
