 Quick Bio:
| -mutt | -three legger | -dog rescue | |
 Birthday: May 24th 2001
Likes: Snow! Also, car rides (she calls shotgun), getting scratched under the collar, everybody sleeping on the bed together. Camping!!! And there is no better thing in the world than a day at the hot springs.

Pet-Peeves: Any other dog that might possibly have a chance at getting a treat or piece of food that would otherwise, in better circumstances, be hers.

Favorite Toy: The knotted rope for tug-o-war! (Also, Cleaver's leg.)

Favorite Food: Whipped cream! (Close second: sushi.)

Favorite Walk: Up the arroyo!

Best Tricks: Balancing a treat on her nose, then flipping it up on cue and catching it in her mouth. This is really funny when you do it with a gob of sticky peanut butter.

Arrival Story: Jonesie's mom is a purebred Rottweiler named Sonoita and her dad is a badass rottie/shepard mix named Paso -- both from dusty Cerrillos, New Mexico. I took her home early, at barely 5 weeks, when she fit in my hand and weighed just a few pounds -- I used to take her on hikes in my backpack! She's my Number One, mi prima, and a bossy, spoiled dog. She's a huge goofball and my constant companion.

Bio: She blew out her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) just before her 3rd birthday and in 2004 had two TPLO surgeries. (Tibial plateau leveling osteotomies, as opposed to the more traditional extracapsular repairs of the ligament.) The healing period was six long months of NO HIKING! NO CAMPING!, but now she and her knees are better than new.
Jones recently slimmed down to below 90 pounds, from a high of 125. Her weight was a contributing factor to her knee trouble, and we were told to get her down to 95 or less -- thus was born the "Jones Beach Diet". There are just two things to remember: (1) No, you can't have any more food and (2) Come on, we're going for a walk.
She's the boss of Cleaver, and will hold her ground between him and anything he's not supposed to mess with. She'll park herself between Cleaver and the shoes by the door and just wait for me to come in and tell her how good she is.

Forums Motto: I'm a bitch. What's your excuse?
