Arrival Story:
Vito was being fostered by a close friend. When she became ill, he came here to visit at age 5 months. He went back to her, but a couple months later, we took him to foster. He worked his magic and it soon became apparent he was not going anywhere. Since his first foster mom loved him so much, Vito can brag he has two mommies and sees her frequently, along with his two step brothers. He now has two basset brothers of his own, Arfur and Hugo. He came to us so thin that you could count his ribs. He finally is starting to look like the handsome boy he is, having grown as tall as Arfur (he could walk under him at first), and gained ten pounds. Whatever his beginnings, he has always been a confident, happy boy.

Vito came from Brooklyn originally, hence his name.
