 Quick Bio:
Likes: Food, food, more food, walks, car rides, licking ears, and did I mention food?

Pet-Peeves: Visiting the groomers, having her teeth brushed

Favorite Toy: A teddy bear to lie on

Favorite Food: Steak, steak, turkey, steak

Favorite Walk: Brueton Park---a truly lovely park around a lake with swans and ducks

Best Tricks: 'I'm a starving dog' impression, nibbling toes, running round and round the garden barking

Arrival Story: Amy was rescued by my friend Sylvia from a breeder who didn't treat Amy very well .She was confined to a cage in a windowless room, she never went outside and she was used for breeding purposes.Sylvia bought Amy off the breeder, (he was also successful in the showring) and it took her many months to gain Amy's confidence, one of the main difficulties was getting Amy to walk, she just crawled on her belly everywhere and used to hide in the garden refusing to come in. Sylvia decided that Amy would improve faster in a one to one situation--she had many other dogs, and so she gave Amy to me.She has become the most wonderful , loving companion.

Bio: Sadly Amy never plays with any toys--no matter how much I throw them about, chase after them, toss them etc, she just sits there with her paws crossed looking at me as if I'm totally mad!
Amy really loves her Grandad, and spends hours sitting on his lap sleeping and being stroked. Amy adores meeting people, especially children and is so patient while they stroke and hug her. Most people think she is a puppy as she is so small and only weighs 5 pounds--they have a shock when I say that she's twelve years old.

Oh how I'm dreading Monday. I have to go to the vets and have two teeth removed and my teeth cleaned :-(
I'm really not looking forward to it at all, and my Mom's worried about the anaesthetic.
Soon I won't have any teeth left at all, and instead of being called Amy I'll be known as Gummy!!!
How will I eat?
Oh my,perhaps I can have false teeth fitted.

My Mom went to Crufts Dog Show yesterday--I hoped that she would bring me some treats back as there are so many shopping stalls there.
Well she returned and I was waiting for her all excited at the thought of the goodies she might have for me---food, food, food, bows, food, slides, clothes, food, food
Well she had some things for me ok :-(
Toothpaste!
A new toothbrush!
Worming tablets!
:-( :-(:-(:-(
Then she produced a new dog coat and some bows for me. :-)
No nibbles or munchies in sight :-(
Oh well there's always next year.

reindeers!
Yes reindeers, she loves them, thinks they're wonderful, and collects soft toy reindeers for Christmas. She has lots of them and every Christmas out they come from the cupboards. They are everywhere!! On the stairs, shelves, ledges, chairs, beds, hanging from the ceiling and even in my beds!!
I expect that soon she'll be getting them out and dusting them down ready for Christmas. Today we went to a garden centre and guess what--another three were bought, you can see my photo with them above. 'Why Mom' I asked,'we have lots already', but Mom insisted that we brought them home with us . She said that we couldn't take the chance that they might be left all alone over Christmas on a shelf. Our house looks more like a stable than a house at Christmas.
