Arrival Story:
We got Lucky when I was 15. Mom and Dad brought her home on Super Bowl Sunday. They had seen an ad in the paper for a 6mo old lab mix free to a good home. The people who had her had found her on the side of the road with a broken leg. Her mother had been hit by a car and no other puppies could be found. They took her to the vet and got her all fixed up and decided to keep her. They named her Cupcake (Cupy for short). A few months later, her owner was transferred out of state and they could not take her with them so they put an ad in the paper. Mom and Dad fell in love with her and brought her home. Dad didn't like the name Cupcake so we went back and forth for about a week on what to name her. One day, she got through her fence and went under the porch and ate a whole pannel of insulation. Thankfully she was OK so we decided to name her Lucky because she is lucky to be here. (it also rhymes with Cupy). The rest is history.
