They were offered one of the 3 puppies but did not want another dog since they had 2 already so they offered him to us. We picked him up the day we returned from a trip to Ireland so the name seemed appropriate. he was 3 pounds and 10 weeks old. as of his first birthday he was just shy of 14 pounds.
