Arrival Story:
I visited the Friends of the Animal Shelter at the mall every Saturday -- looking for a PUG! Then, one Saturday . . . . there were two Pekes there. I visited the first one but it just didn't feel right (I was looking for PUG) -- and then I took Cinnamon out of her cage, just to say hello. She was kind of shy and just cuddled on my chest for about a half hour. I couldn't take her that day but I couldn't stop thinking about her so I waited until late in the week and contacted the people to see if she was still available. She was so I went to see her again the next Saturday morning. I had pretty much forgotten the PUG by then because I had found MY DOG!!! I decided to take her home, even though my husband had never met her -- but I just knew it would be okay -- and it has been!!! (He says it's just a good thing that she is so cute and lovable . . .) She has been here about 5 weeks and things are going pretty well -- she is just so darn cute and lovable that even though she does lots of "bad" things and stretches our patience on a consistent basis, she is definitely here to stay! She and Buddy get along really well and she is even learning now how NOT to chase the cats! Before long, I know they will all be best friends!

Bio:
The story of where she came from is a little bit sad -- she is purebred but she and her siblings were being sold out of a car in the Wal-Mart parking lot. There were some kind souls who paid $350 each for her and her sister and as it turned out, they had just too many little dogs so they had to turn them over to the Friends of the Animal Shelter. So, even though it started as just another puppy mill story, the ending is happy.
