Arrival Story:
My mom has an older male BC and as they were leaving obedience class one night another lady mentioned she saw me at the local kill shelter. Against better judgement (she had two dogs already) Mom came and looked at me. She went down the first row, no BC. Then she rounded the corner and there I was, black and yellow with one big blue eye. Of course I had to go home with her! I went up for adoption the next day so Mom was in the parking lot waiting for the Shelter to open. It was about 10 minutes until they opened and another family pulled up to wait. The first thing that ran thru my mom's mind was that they were here for me. She decided then and there she was going to fight for me. So she got out of the car and was waiting on the steps when they opened the door. "I'm here for the Border Collie." And the rest is history :)

So it's been quite awhile since you've heard from me and with good reason. Mom and I have been so busy it's not even funny. We just got home from New York City on Sunday evening. We were up there for the Central Park Paws event where we took 2nd place in the Best in Park show.

We got robbed! We totally should have won :D

Did I forget to mention we went up there with Laurie and Andrew from America's Greatest Dog? Yup, we did. She' s my mom's boss and friend. After the show we got a personal tour of the city from non other than David and Elvis of GAD fame as well. It was neat to see the city with a local...instead of looking like the smalltown girl that I am. I didn't care for the horses too much, well...not at all actually. Someone should tell them that they smell.

Elvis lead us to Barney's where Piper was happy to stare at herself in the mirror and I was fielding off questions of my breeding...Aussie indeed! Humphf!

All in all it was a long but fun trip to somewhere completely different. I can't wait for the next adventure!

I've just returned from my 3rd trip to Nags Head, North Carolina...better dubbed The Outer Barks.

I had a BLAST! Every morning mom took me to the beach to play frisbee. I couldn't even walk past the beach without getting excited. I got in the ocean a few times but I'm not a constant swimmer so mom didn't want me to get tired. Pfft, doesn't she know I'll go forever? She said something about me not having my life vest on so I guess I'll let it slide...

Made some new friends while I was down there and spent some quality time with my cousins Princess and Bogart.

All in all, I can't wait to go again next year :D
