Amy woke me up really early last Saturday morning. I didn't mind though, because we were getting ready for a car ride! Our first stop was somewhere I had never been before. This nice lady named Kim came out and got in the car with us. I was too excited! I love meeting new people and it wasn't long before we were on the road again.
Next we stopped for some breakfast and boy was that a treat. Not only did I get some great food (after waiting very patiently for what seemed like an eternity) I got to stick my head out the window when we drove through the drive through at that building that smells really good!
After breakfast we got back on the road and drove for a really long time. Our next stop was a house that looked really familiar to me, but I couldn't figure out why. I could hear dogs barking. We got out of the car and I couldn't believe my eyes! Little dogs that looked like me! It was sooooo cool! I see dogs all the time, but not little ones like me! Except for my sister that is. You'll never guess who I saw next! It was my Mom! And the lady that took care of me when I was a baby! I didn't know what to do with myself. I could feel may tail going a mile a minute! I saw someone else that looked familiar, but I couldn't tell who it was until I got closer. It was my Dad! His hair was shorter than I remember, but it was him. He likes belly rubs and honks when he's excited just like me! It wasn't long before I figured out where we were. It was the house I lived in before I moved to Maryland! We all went inside and played for a while, and it was so much fun! I even got to see some of the girls that played with me when I was really little!
Just when I thought this day couldn't get any better, Amy told me the greatest news! You see, my Mom was done having babies and her family wanted to find her a great place to live where she would be the only dog and get lots of attention. So, my Virginia family told Amy that my Mom was looking for a loving home where she could be top dog again and Amy knew Kim wanted a little dog like me. Can you blame her?
I thought it was just going to be another lazy Saturday, but it turned out to be the best day ever! Now my Mom lives really close and I can visit her whenever I want.
