Little Empress Maya has been with us for about six months now. She is large and in charge most days even though she is the smallest member of the household. No one walks into a room without a smile on their face when she is around. Maya has been a true blessing.

We have been thrilled to watch her physical progress. She came to us as a scrawny, pitiful little girl. The little fur she did have was like straw and her poor tummy was suffering from her last of probably many puppy mill litters. While her poor little teeth won't come back, her beautiful coat sure has! She is so soft and has a shiny, long coat. She has put on about 3 lbs which puts here right where she should be. She is a friendly, fun-loving little dog and we love her more than she will ever know.

Maya has become Molly's fast friend. They play chase all day, take long walks to their favorite places in the neighborhood, and curl up together in a big crate to sleep at night. Life is good!
