Birthday: June 15th 2004 Arrival Story: Snoopy, a Chihuahua mix, was adopted from the Fort Worth Animal Control on June 15, 2006. He probably ended up in the pound because of his size. He's a BBC (big beautiful Chihuahua). Many of them end up in the pound because people get a Chi and expect it to always remain small. When it doesn't, they are disappointed and get rid of it. He's really not very big when he curls up and puts his long legs underneath him.
When I first got him I took him straight to my vet because he was very sick with kennel cough and fleas were crawling all over him. They prescribed two different types of antibiotics and an antihistamine. He coughed constantly, many times coughing up blood. He seemed to have a very hard time eating, as food and saliva would be falling out of both sides of his mouth as he chewed. It may have been due to a sore throat.
